*AUTUMN'S POV*
Louis.
It kept replaying in my head. He likes me. Along with Harry.
Harry and I kept walking back towards the house with the wind blowing in my hair, making me shiver and put my hands in my pockets. I broke the silence when I tripped over the root of a tree and almost crashing to the ground, but Harry caught me right when I started falling.
"Careful Autumn. Don't want to hurt yourself, or never mind," He trailed off remembering how I heal within a minute or less.
I smiled at him and said thank you as we continued our way back to the house.
"You know, you're really nice Autumn," Harry said smiling down at me, his eyes twinkling with joy.
"What makes you say that?" I asked, sighing.
"Well you just are. You're not like other girls I've met before. And yeah, I know that sounds like rubbish, but it's true," he answered back digging his face into his jacket as wind blew.
"Well thank you Harry. I could say the same about you too. I mean, most guys I know would've let me fall and burst out laughing when I hit the ground," I said, smiling at the thought of it.
I missed those days, during school having a good laugh when your friend got hurt.
"Really? That's kind of cruel," he said, frowning.
I smiled and pushed his chest while running off.
"Hey!" He called from behind and I could hear his feet coming closer to me. It didn't really help that I was laughing though, it slowed me down.
"I've got you," I heard from behind me, then in one second, I was on the ground with Harry on top of me.
We were both laughing and for some reason, I started to get this weird feeling in my stomach. I've never felt this before. When Harry smiled down at me, it was as if a cocoon of butterfly's erupted in my stomach. His deep red eyes, fangs in full sight, his features, his brown curls falling in front of his eyes, he was so beautiful.
Just as he leaned into kiss me, at the last second he quickly moved and planted it on my cheek. He smirked and jolted up off of me, sprinting back to the house. I just rolled my eyes and decided to follow, but didn't bother to run, I wanted to enjoy this.
Fall was just so beautiful, with all the colours of the leaves on the trees, the events. No wonder my mother named me Autumn.
Mom. I miss her so. I always would be with her at this time of the year, baking all sorts of desserts for the family. It never got old, it was something I enjoyed doing with her every year.
Maybe I should bake some cookies for the boys later in the week. That'd be fun, they could help out too, that is if they even know how to bake.
Wait, they can't even eat food, can they? Well, they can still help out. Besides, I'd be able to have more food and not have to go hunting all the time. It's nice to have regular food instead of flesh and blood, sure it's tasty, but I'd like a change for a bit.
Finally the house came into view, I jogged towards it.
I walked up the steps of the porch to the back door, opening it and closing it quickly not wanting to freeze the house up.
"I'm home!" I yelled to let the boys know.
Louis responded from upstairs, "I'll be down in a second!"
I took off my shoes and headed for the living room, which thankfully was empty for once.
I sat down on the couch wondering what to do. Maybe I should, read a book. I haven't read anything in a long time, it'd be nice to start a new novel.
I got up and headed upstairs to see if they had anything around. I went to the room I was staying in, not sure what to call it considering it wasn't my official room, but there were no books to be seen.
I opened up some drawers, but once again nothing. Then finally I went to the closet, and when I opened it, to my surprise, it was filled with exactly what I was looking for, books.
They had everything in there. From the ceiling to the floor were all sorts of old books I've never seen or heard of in my life.
"What're you doing Autumn?" I turned my head to face the door and there was Louis.
"Oh I'm just um, looking for a book. And you seem to have a lot of them," I said staring the colums up and down as if I were a child at DisneyLand for the first time, wonder and curiosity filling my mind.
"Yeah we do. But these are all really old, most of them are in Roman too," he told me walking in to the room beside me, looking at the numerous amout of books.
"Why do you have so many?" I asked him finally breaking eye contact with the closet full of such wondrous pieces of paper that seemed to almost be a form of art.
"I honestly don't know love. But most of them are about the ancient wars between the werewolves, vampires, and humans. The werewolves and vampires fighting for their rights and freedom of roaming the earth as they please, where as the humans wanted them dead. But with the advantage we have, I think the ending's pretty clear on who won," Louis stated gazing down at me with a smirk plastered on his face.
I nodded and grabbed one book which was marked "The Unkown Kind".
I opened it and the first thing I saw were pictures and drawings of all sorts of creatures, with their name on the top. It listed their abilities, how fast they could run, how strong they were, everything. It was amazing, even though more then half of these creatures don't exist anymore.
I put it back, careful not to let any books fall.
I went out the room and back down stairs, with Louis following.
"So where are the rest of the guys?" I asked him while walking into the kitchen.
"They went out to go get some food for you. Zayn knows what you like so don't worry," he told me and a huge wave of relief came over me, I swear I am the worlds pickiest eater.
"Ok good. And I was wondering if later today you guys would like to help me make some sugar cookies? I know you can't eat them, but I usually make them at this time of the year, and I've been craving them lately," I told him and he smiled and nodded.
"Sugar cookies were my favourite. I wish I could still eat them. But sure, I bet the lads would love to help, I know I do," he said and I smiled.
"Ok great! I'll be up in my room," I said turning around I walking towards the stairs.
Louis chuckled, "I see you're comfortable enough here now to call the room you're staying in yours."
My eyes grew wide, "Oh, I just thought-"
"It's alright love," he replied back, but just as I was about to leave, I gave him a little peck on the cheek. He blushed and I smiled at him before running upstairs to my room.
Besides, a little kiss couldn't do too much harm, could it?
