What's Your Ilvermorny House?
On the 28th of June earlier this year, J.K. Rowling has unveiled yet another addition to the Wizarding World!
Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, also known as the "North-American Hogwarts" by some fans, was written by Rowling and published on Pottermore, a website where I'm sure most of you Potterheads have heard of!
Fans were ecstatic to find out their new houses, though some(such as myself)were reluctant to do so as we wished to remain loyal to put Hogwarts houses- Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.
The four Ilvermorny houses were based off the four Hogwarts houses, as the founder Isolt Sayre had heard many stories from her aunt, but never had the chance to go to Hogwarts herself. The entire story can be found on Pottermore if any of you are interested (I don't want to spoil it for you guys!)
The four Ilvermorny houses are called Horned Serpent, Pukwudgie, Thunderbird and Wampus respectively- each named after a mythological creature.
Some fans have even made up theories about the relations between the Hogwarts houses and Ilvermorny houses.
The most popular were that Ravenclaws/Slytherins would most likely end up in Horned Serpent, Hufflepuffs/Gryffindors in Thunderbird, Slytherins/Gryffindors in Wampus and Hufflepuffs/Ravenclaws in Pukwudgie.
Of course we don't have to believe this, as some users on tumblr have made some researchers, showing that the most number from all four Hogwarts houses is in Thunderbird, whereas the least is in Wampus.
State your Hogwarts and Ilvermorny houses in the comments! I would love to know your houses! Mine are Hufflepuff/Thunderbird(though I consider myself more of a Pukwudgie).
