:Kailey:
Walking down the crowded hallways was always my favorite part of the day, I mean who doesn't love being pushed and shoved around like trash?
These are the moments all the friends gather around to gossip or talk about a new T.v show, I for one think It's pointless and extremely annoying.
During these moments everyone decides 'Oh I'll just stop right here, in the middle of the hallway! How perfect!'
No.
Hell to the No.
Move or I'll move you.
"So, did you see?" Lauren grins a little with a devious look on her face.
"See what? If you're talking about Mike I did-"
"No Kailey, Casey and Elias left school." She wiggled her eyebrows at me before bursting into a fit of giggles.
"What?! Why?" A pang of jealousy shot through me, looking around I take a deep breath and control it.
Wait, why am I jelous?
"Oh come on Kailey, we all know what happens when someone takes home Casey Richards. The fate is inevitable." Turning the corner she walks into history class, leaving me to walk alone to Theatre.
I can't believe he took home Casey Richards, they literally just fricken met! Who the he-- Woah there Kailey... Calm down...
"Kailey! Hey wait up," A tall blonde haired boy jogs over to me, his brown eyes light up, "I'll walk you to class"
"Thank you Mike, I really appreciate it." Heat rushes to my cheeks as I smile and look to the ground, my grip on my backpack straps tighten.
I'v had the biggest crush on Mike Watkins since the third grade, he's like my best friend and I don't know what I'd do without him.
I realized I started to grow feelings for him around the eighth grade, I'v wanted to tell him how I feel but he's three years older than me and it is his last year here so I decided to keep it bottled up.
"So have you seen the new kid yet?" Walking side by side Mike slightly nudges my arm.
"Um, yeah he actually moved in across the street from me."I acknowledged
"I havn't seen him around though, do you know where he is?" Slightly looking over his shoulder he returns his attention to me.
"He left with Casey Richards..." I practically whisper the last part as I continue to gaze at the grey tiled floor.
Mike stopped dead in his tracks, a look of shock and amusment flashed across his face.
"No. Fucking. Way!" A wide smile stretched across his face before he burst out laughing, causing a few heads to turn our way.
"Mike! Come on keep it down..." Looking around shyly people go about their buisness, pretending as if nothing happened.
"Aw come on Kailey! We all know what happens when someone takes home Casey Richards, she's the school slut!" Mike continued to walk with me until we reach a set of navey blue double doors.
"I know but come on, he's new. It's not like he knows that..." Looking into his eyes he grins down at me like a prized jewel waiting to be claimed.
"I'll see you later." Slightly tapping my arm he turns around and stalks away to whatever class it is he has.
Turning around I walked through the navey blue doors, my day just a little bit brighter than it was this morning.

:Elias:
Okay, Maybe it's time to go back to school before my mother is called and she freaks.
Getting up I grab a new change of clothes before taking a quick shower, rubbing off the condensation on the mirror I stare at my reflection.
My blue eyes look dull and lifeless, my black hair is sticking up in all kinds of places. My skin is pale, I don't look like the kid I used to be.
Get over it.
Grabbing my clothes I quickly change and head out the door only to be stopped by none other than Carl himself.
"Wha-- ELIAS ANTHONY THOMPSON WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Carl furrowed his brow, crossing his arms while staring me down.
I swear he was redder than a tomato.
"Um..." Looking around for any possible excuse.
Fuck it, you're caught might as well go down in style...
"Well Carl, I just missed seeing your nasty face so much that I decided I'm going to pay a visit to dear old step father." Conjouring up the most innocent face before dropping it into a look of irritation.
"You do well to respect me boy, I'm the only one who raised you since your deadbeat father left your sorry ass!" Carl Glared at me, a look of satisfaction in his eyes.
My fists were shaking, my eyesight turned red. How dare he call my father a deadbeat, I'll make him pay.
Lunging at him I tackle him to the ground, before he realized what was happening I punched his ugly face over and over and over before my knuckles started to bleed.
Looking down at him the truth of what had just happened hit me like a truck.
Oh shit.
Bruises already started making their appearance around his cheeks, blood streamed down his now swollen eyes, his nose was in an awkward position.
I'm in so much touble...
Getting up I go to my room and grab a pair of clothes before running to the kitchen and grabbing water and snacks.
"I am not going back, hell no." Whispering to myself while hastily filling my bag before zipping it up and running out the front door.

~Two years after his dad left~
Everyday I would sit there, watching the door. Waiting and hoping that one day he would walk back into my life, like he had never abandoned me.
"Honey I have some exciting news! I'm getting remarried!" My mother looks at me with excitment as a stranger wraps his arms around my mothers waist.
"Wait? What?! But I'v never met this man!" Looking at my mother with panicked eyes before quickly looking at the man.
"Elias, this will be your new step father, Carl." Turning to him she smiles, tears threatened to escape my eyes.
The man was tall, that's for sure. His blue eyes looks me over a thousand times before coming over and ruffling up my hair a bit.
I bolted up the stairs and slammed my door shut.
She replaced him, she abandonded all hope when he left.
How could she?
