:Kailey:

The morning's rays taunt me, they dance across my face begging me to wake up. My bed inviting me to stay, to cuddle the comfy blankets and to procrastinate the days work.

Grudgingly I get up, mumbling a few swear words under my breath while walking barefoot on the hardwood floor to the bathroom.

Calling me a morning person would be an understatement.

After taking a quick shower and brushing my teeth I run downstairs to start the day with a little painting out in the back.

The mornings in Orchard Bay were beautiful, the sun would climb high in the sky and send its light throughout the world. All the flowers would sparkle and the ocean would crash against rocks and sand.

The view from my back yard was beautiful, Green grass spread throughout the valley only to stop right where the sand begins revealing a beautiful ocean hide away.

"Kailey, what are you doing out there?" A soft voice calls from behind me

"Morning mum, i'm just going out to paint. Is dad coming home today?" Eagerness flows through my voice.

My father was deployed about a month ago and he was due back any day now, I miss him so much and I can't wait for him to come back.

My mother is a short blonde with beautiful green eyes, she is the best mother I could ever ask for. I on the other hand look nothing like her, I look like my father. My bright blue eyes and my long blonde hair, I don't consider myself pretty but I don't consider myself ugly either.

"No sweetie, i'm not sure when he'll be coming home. You have fun okay? I have to go run some errands." With that she walked out through the front door.

Today is gonna be a good day...

:Elias:

Watching the trees pass by for hours is so boring I'm surprised i'm not dead yet, my mother wont quit pestering me.

"Elias honey, When we get there you will behave because we're going to meet the new neighbors." she gives me a stern look before looking back to the road.

"If i'm being forced to move here i'm not meeting anyone." Pulling my hood up I place in my earbuds and escape to the world of music.

This Orchard Bay place isn't all it seems to be, I mean yeah it's breath taking but that doesn't mean the people wont suck.

The neighborhoods look like rich stuck up people live here and the town is small which probably means everyone knows everyone.

Looking out into the Ocean nearby I slowly drift off to sleep.

~2 Hours Later~

"Elias, Elias wake up we're here."

Opening my eyes I look up to see a beautiful Three story mansion, The palm trees and the round gravel driveway all fit into place. The sunlight hits the walls just right to make the flowers glow and the windows sparkle.

The gate closes behind us as we pull around and park in front of the doors.

Getting out of the car I walk into the fully furnished home and walk up the spiral staircase to find my room.

Man how long have they had this house? Its already decorated and everything.

The long hallways twisted and turned, each room filled with a new surprise and it never seemed to end.

Finally I reached the end of a hall with a single door, walking into it felt like heaven.

The walls were painted black and posters of bands were hanging every where. There was a back door leading to a balcony looking over the entire ocean. The white curtains flowed in the wind as I had left the door open.

"I think I can get used to it here." Smiling I walk back into my room and slip off my shoes.

The cold hardwood feels great, looking around my new room I sigh and plop down on my bed.

"Elias! Get down here we're going to meet the new neighbors!" Her voice echoes throughout the halls.

"Stupid..." Whispering I get up and slip my shoes back on before walking slowly back down only to be greeted by my mother and Carl.

"Let's get this over with...."

"Don't speak to your mother like that young man," Carl glares at me before pulling her close.

"Whatever Carl." Glaring at him I walk out into the afternoon sun.
