Chapter 7

Hey guys! I finally updated this story. I also put my stories up for the Wattys! My first time ever! Anyway let's go on with the story!

"Levy-chan! Hurry up!"

"Coming Lu-chan!"

Levy shoves her last book into her bag. She runs towards the door, but doubles back, checking her appearance in the mirror.

"Levy!" Mira yells.

"Coming!"

Levy stopped primping and headed out the door. Outside waited Lucy, Mira, and Kinana.

"We're late, and Yukino and Kagura have been waiting at the gates for a while now." Kinana chides.

Levy gives them a sheepish laugh and they set off towards the gates. They land nearby and sneak quietly towards Kagura and Yukino.

They were hiding behind a nearby building, and waved them over silently.

No Angel or Devil was supposed cross the gate without the Oracle. If they did it could lead to severe consequences. It could also mean death. The gate for Devils were not guarded so they could leave as they please.

And most of the time, they enjoyed picking on Angels, making danger lurk at any turn.

Why were they attempting such as dangerous thing?

Well the answer was as simple as dragonslayers.

Levy had gotten a letter from Gajeel about a week ago.

Dear Shrimp,
Don't ask me how I managed to get this to you. I got an idea from Salamander. Apparently, both angels and devils used to be able to communicate in between the two lands. It's called Moirai Forrest. I thought me and my friends could meet ya and your friends in there. Let's meet there on the next full moon. See ya Shorty!

Levy sighed at the nickname he had given her, but she liked to think that he cared for her. Even a little.

"Ok let's sneak out ladies." Kagura instructs.

They quietly edge out of fence. The guards do not notice as the six girls disappear into the thick forest underbush.

The forest was dark and menacing for the poor angels, especially Lucy, Levy, and Kinana. The bushes shake nearby, and a small growl erupts.

"Kyaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Each girl takes off except Kagura, who grabs her blade in response. A shadowy animal jumps out of the bush. It growls and Kagura points her sheathed blade at it.

It lunges at her and she slices it upwards, a fog of black smoke emerged from its crippled body.

"What are these?" She mumbles.

Suddenly, another jumps at her from behind. She raises her sword and starts to turn.

"Shadow Dragon Punch!"

The creature is reduced to smoke.

"You ok-" he starts.

"HYAH!"

Kagura slams her blade into Rouge's head.

"Ow! Why!" He grunts.

Kagura's eyes widen at him, and she immediately goes to his side.

"I'm sorry Rouge, I had no intention of attacking you."

"It's fine. You wouldn't attack me without a reason." He grins sheepishly.

She grins as well and helps him off the ground. He looks at the smoldering beasts with concern.

"What were those.......things?" Kagura asks, returning her blade to her side.
