"YOU LIKE ADAM? WHAT!"
"J, it's okay. Calm down. I have told my family and they have been very supportive. I hope you can help me through this."
"Is that why you asked me to prom? Because you like Adam and you don't want anyone else to find out? THOMAS!"
Thomas came rushing into the room. "You okay?"
"Please get Liam out of here. I need to rest."
Thomas took Liam by the arm and dragged him out of the room. Dylan went in after Liam and Thomas left.
"Hey, sis. You okay?"
"No. Leave me alone."
Dylan reluctantly left, closing the door behind him. Tears started dripping onto her pillow, but she wiped them away as quickly as possible. She got up and went to the bathroom. When she opened up the drawer, she found a package of razor blades. When she opened them up, she took one out and examined it. It was pretty sharp. She brought it close to her wrist and very gently moved the blade. She went back over and put it directly on her wrist. This time, she sliced at her wrists and forearms, bleeding a bit at each cut. She washed off the blood that was dripping down her arm, down her fingers, and into the sink. She dried her arm off and put the other blades back. Jacqueline threw out the one she had used and climbed back into bed.
The next morning, Jacqueline looked at her arms and saw where she had cut. There would be scars in about another day. When there was a knock on her door, she hid her arm under the blanket. Thomas came in and sat on the edge of the bed, followed by her doctor.
"Hey, J. You feel better?"
Jacqueline shrugged. "I don't know."
Her doctor cleared his throat and interrupted their conversation.
"Hello Jacqueline. I have some good news for you."
"What is it?"
"You can go home. Your concussion has healed, you don't have a fever, you don't need an oxygen mask, and your heart is perfectly healthy."
"I-I can leave? Really?"
"Yeah. Dylan has already packed your things and Thomas has already picked out your clothes."
"Okay. I'll go get dressed."
"Jacqueline, you have been such a good patient and, uh, the truth is, I'm going to miss you."
"I'm going to miss you too. You have been so helpful and such a great doctor."
Jacqueline grabbed her clothes and went to go change in the bathroom. Thomas picked out a long sleeve shirt, shorts, and her flip flops. When she got out, Thomas was standing outside of her room, talking to the nurse that had helped them out. Jacqueline grabbed her suitcase and left the room. When she got out of her room, Dylan came running at her with a huge grin on his face. She picked him up and twirled around with him in her arms. When she put him down, she turned to face Thomas. He gave her a reassuring smile that she will be okay.
"Thank you." Jacqueline mouthed to Thomas. He put his hand on her shoulder and pulled her closer, giving her a kiss on her forehead. She felt herself smile at that action. They both couldn't hold it in any longer. Jacqueline tip-toed and pulled Thomas' face closer to hers, connecting at the lips and moving in sync, their faces fitting together. Thomas smiled into the kiss as they both catch their breath before leaning in to kiss again. She entangled her hands in his hair, his hands snaking down to her hips and digging his nails into them.
"Um, ahem." Dylan interrupted, "Do you guys need a room?"
"Oh, right. Yeah we should get going." agreed Thomas.
The drive home was quiet, almost no one said a word. Dylan was quiet, Thomas was focused on driving, and Jacqueline didn't feel like talking to anyone. They pulled into the driveway of Thomas' house, and loaded their suitcases back into the rooms where they are supposed to go. After unpacking, Jacqueline left Dylan playing video games while she went upstairs to Thomas' room.
"Hey, do you wanna continue what we were doing?" Thomas questioned with a smirk on his face.
Jacqueline closed the door, walked towards Thomas, slow at first, then quicker until she was running. When she came close enough to Thomas, she jumped, wrapping her legs around him, throwing her arms behind his neck. He supported her by her hips and leaned in until their noses touched. Their lips collided and both kissed with all they had, the love, the passion, everything in them.
