Dylan couldn't believe his eyes, his jaw dropped at the sight of the flaming car lighting up the highway.

"Jacqueline! Thomas! J!"

Thomas came out of the smoke with his parents and Dylan saw that he was carrying someone. It was Jacqueline. He put her on a stretcher that the paramedics had ready, got into the ambulance with them, and called out for Dylan to come over. Dylan ran as fast as his legs could carry him. When he reached the ambulance, Thomas helped him up and closed the doors. Jacqueline was breathing by a very small margin. Dylan held his sister's hand all the way to the hospital and only let go when she went to the emergency room. Thomas gave the nurse all her information while keeping Dylan close by. Dylan and Thomas watched as she was rolled to a room where they touched up her wounds from the impact. They found out that she had a concussion and would be unconscious for about another day.

"You may see her now."

Dylan allowed Thomas to see her first. He rushed into the room and stopped at the foot of the bed. Jacqueline lay on the bed motionless with an oxygen mask that was helping her breathe. Thomas slowly walked past the curtains into the room that Jacqueline was in. He pulled the chair closer towards the hospital bed. A tear rolled down his cheek, landing on her hand.

"Jacqueline," his voice cracking.

"I'm so so sorry. I-I don't even know what to say. You literally mean everything to me. The whole world, the entire universe. I never wanted to lose you, I'm not saying that I will but you know, some people don't survive car accidents." he said stroking Jacqueline's hand.

He was at a loss for words, absolutely speechless. He always knew that he wouldn't be able to put how much he loves her into words, but now, he didn't exactly know what to do, or say.

"Thomas?" Dylan poked his head from the door that he opened the slightest bit.

"C'mon bud." Thomas said motioning to his lap for Dylan to sit on.

"Jacqueline," Dylan started, "i just wanna say, thank you for saving my life, I wouldn't know how to repay you."

"You don't need to, Dylan."

"What do you mean? She saved my life."

"What I mean is that this is her repaying you for what you did for her when you were 6." Thomas took Dylan's forearm and lightly twisted it so that it would reveal his scar he was always insecure about and would carry for the rest of his life. "Remember?"

"Oh yeah. But I didn't want her to end up like that!"

"Are you telling me that YOU weren't unconscious?"

"Ohhh riiight."

Thomas let out a chuckle from Dylan's response.

"I'm sorry guys but yeah, you can't visit her anymore. Not until the morning, we should let her get some rest."

"Right, of course." Thomas replied politely while leading Dylan into the waiting room.

Early in the morning, Dylan left the waiting room to go and sit by Jacqueline because he needed to see how she was doing. They had taken the oxygen mask away and she was breathing by herself. Her heart rate was normal, but she was still asleep. Dylan saw two large figures around her bed. He slowly and quietly snuck in and saw who it was. It was Adam and Liam! He ran out of the room to go get Thomas and tell him who was in the room with his sister.

"What? Them? How did they know? And why the hell are they here?" Thomas stormed off towards the room but became quieter as he approached the destination. He peeked into the room and saw them towering over her and talking to her the way he did last night. Thomas stealthily opened the door and heard what they were saying to Jacqueline. Wait, Liam. I know that name. It was that guy that is on Adam's football team, and also the one that asked Jacqueline to Prom. You little shits! At that moment, Liam noticed him, just standing at the door with Dylan by his side.
