Undress me,
but do not caress me with calloused hands reminiscent of my father's
until you familiarize yourself with my mind.
Your eyes lingering on exposed flesh does not equate to knowing me.
Strip me bare.
Breathe me in like the first breath of air your lips ever tasted.
Tell me you love me not for the softness of my skin,
but for the way your chest tightens when you hear my name.
Know me.
Proclaim me your goddess.
Worship me like I am the
essence of life, recognize my prowess.
Know me.
Let my voice be the music to which you dance;
move to its perfect rhythm.
Strip me bare.
Know me.
Sing my name until your burning lungs protest,
until you become fluent in the language of me;
revel in every dialect and nuance.
Know me,
and I promise to know you.
