*Thursday 1 hour till game*

I wore my brace all day long to try and make my knee better. At least for the game anyway.

I'm currently stretching with out my uniform on. I have a personal trainer watching me to make sure my knee gets the attention it needs along with my throwing arm.

After about 15 minutes of stretching I get up and call my mom.

M- Hey honey, what's up

D- Are you coming to my game?

M- Well, I'm really sorry but I can only come to the game for the first ten minutes.

D- Why?

M- I have to work.

D- And I need to have my mom there.

M- We need the money

D- You need to be there

M- Why are you being like this, you were so understanding then.

D- Because I just realized how unfair this really is. Dad came to the last game, even after I yelled at him. You never have been at one of my games for longer then 20 minutes!! That's not fair to me.

M- You doing this isn't fair to me.

D- I don't care.

With that said I hang up and turn off my phone which might not be the best idea but at this point I just don't want to talk to her.

I walk into the girls locker room and see angel waiting for me.

"Hey" I say.

"Hi, good luck, do me proud and don't be too hard on yourself." Angel says while she hugs me.

"I won't, hopefully" I say because I don't know how easily this win will come, especially because it's against my old school.

It will be a challenge. Playing against old friends, there's no way for it to work out perfectly. If you lose you want to win, but if you win you feel bad that the other team didn't.

I'm also worried about playing against Smith considering I personally choose him to replace me. He must be pretty good if they got this far.
The rest of the team is great too. It will be a tough game that's for sure.

I get on my uniform , putting the pads on and placing the helmet underneath my arm. I grab my water off the bench and take a deep breath.

I walk across the field and look at over at the stands not seeing anyone I know except for Angel.

I walk into the men's locker room and come face to face with Cole(tight end) and do the bro shake. I hug him and then Go sit on a bench.

The guys take for ever to get ready so when I sit I get comfy.

The guys slowly start to trickle in.

Cole sits on the bench next to me. "Hey"

"Hey" I reply. He takes  a pack of ice from behind his back and places it on my knee.
