Chapter Eleven: Rain

Ever since the Aaron thing happened things have been awkward between us. I don't let it get to me though. Ya I like Aaron, but do I love him....why must love be so difficult for me.

I was sitting in my bed reading a book. It's not the best but I guess it will have to do for now. I don't even know the title of the book. All a sudden Lilly jumps onto my bed and lays by me. I look at her and smile. Holding the book in my right hand I gently pet Lilly with my left. She has gotten a bit bigger, but she is still huggable, that's the only requirement for me. Everyone on the block loves her and she loves everyone. Every morning we go for a two mile run and in the afternoon we go for a mile walk. (In real life I would die if I did this everyday....I'm lazy help~Minty) Lilly has her own bed and all but she likes to sleep in my bed better. I honestly don't mind it. She has been quite tired lately but I guess it's because we just took our morning run. She is wearing a F/C collar and she is just the cutest little thing. I could talk about her all day.

Things around the neighborhood have been calm. Minty and Mitsuki went to a Twentyonepilots concert and have been going out a lot. Which confuses me because I thought Minty was dating Laurence. But her and Mitsuki could just be hanging out. Rex has been out of town lately. Gale and Blossom hang out a lot. As for me I have really been alone. Well I mean not that alone. I have Lilly but whatever. (And then there is a lazy author named Minty hehe)

Minty's P.O.V

So ever since that concert me and Mitsuki went to the Twentyonepilots one, the one we got back stage passes to, ya. We got Tyler Joseph and Josh Duns numbers so we have been hanging out with them a lot. It's nice. But I still love Laurence. I came home and saw Gale on the couch. Mitsuki hugged me and ran up to her room. I walked up to Gale and sat by her.

"Hey Minty." Gale said

"Hey." I responded

"Have you talked to Laurance lately."

"Uh.....Why you ask."

"Well you have been hanging out with Josh and Tyler a lot and not Laurence."

"Well I haven't really seen Laurence. I go over to his place a lot. But he isn't there."

"Do you think he."

"He what."

"Never mind." She looked away.

"GALE NOW YOU HAVE TO TELL ME." I yelled

"Nothing I was just thinking."

"About what?"

"What if he is cheating."

"Well...uh then it's his fault because I don't need a man in my life especially one that cheats on me."

"Really, I thought you loved him."

"I do but if he doesn't. Then it doesn't matter."

"Go and talk to him."

"Ok I will. Brb." I hugged her, like I always do. She hugged me back.

Then I ran out of the door. My mint green hair bouncing behind me. When I was about to cross the rode I saw Laurence coming my way. I stopped dead in my tracks, and just stood there. Laurence just looked blankly at me. He came to me and we stood there on the side walk on a cloudy day. He looked at me.

"Hi Laurence."

"Uh hi."

"So what brings you here." My dog tail wagging.

"Minty we need to talk."

My tail drooped. "Ya."

Then it started to rain. Ahh how I love the rain. Laurence and I getting soaked.

"Minty I think we should."

"Break up." I asked trying so hard to keep my smile while I was hurting. I really thought he loved me. But I knew at one point he would leave me.

"Minty it's just."

"Laurence it's ok. It really is." I smiled.

"Why are you so happy about this."

"Because I don't need to be sad about you." I said hurt in my voice.

"What."

"Bye Laurence."

I turned around and walked back to the house. My tail wagging. I don't need him I have my friends and Josh.
I walked into the house, and looked at Gale. A single tear went down my face while I was soaking wet.

"Gale....he"

She hugged me even though I was soaking wet.

"I'm so sorry, I'll go beat him up."

"No don't do that." We parted from the hug.

"But Minty."

"Gale its ok."

"Really?"

I hugged her. "Really. Hey I'm going to head out." I parted.

"Can I come."

"Gale I wanna go and clear my head ok."

"Fine."

I grabbed my bag and phone and ran to my grey car. I grabbed my phone and texted Josh.

To Josh~

M- hey Josh

J- hey Minty. What's up.

M- not much...Laurence broke up with me.

J- what a jerk.

M-Ya I guess. well Jish, I wanna ask you something. I laughed at my own text....

J- what?

M- can you teach me how to drum.

J- anything for you.

Your P.O.V

I heard something hitting my window so I look out my bedroom window. 'It's storming pretty bad' then I heard a crack of thunder. Lilly howled, and shook. 'Aww my baby is scared of thunder.' I hugged her and kissed the top of her head. I then heard the door bell. I set Lilly on the floor. I looked down at my outfit. (You can pick what your outfit looks like because I'm lazy) looks decent I go down stairs and open the door to spot a soaking Aaron. He smiled.

Hey guys Minty here. don't hate me for making a short chapter. But yay a cliffhanger. Also I was so happy when Aphmau added one of my favorite songs to her videos. The song is Faster Car, it is like the best. But ya hope you like the song, chapter, and the book. Also sorry for the Minty thing. I have some plans for her. Also I'm saving Laurence for another girl so yay.~ Minty A.K.A your lazy author that is Twentyonepilots obsessed.
