So back I flew to see her, my heart racing, I couldn't think of anything else but her, I had never really felt warm, but this was something else, like a fuzzy kind of feeling I didn't completely understand
I saw the tower again, and suddenly froze ; what would I say ? I couldn't just barge in..
'' oh hi Rapunzel, look I left my staff here, and I need it back...''
no.... that's like I only care about the stick..
''oh hey ! sorry to waste your time... '' ok, that makes me sound like a sap..
I sighed, not sure what to do, but I light up when I saw Rapunzel pass the window, she stopped and looked out, a smile spread across her face, she gave me a slight wave, her hair glowing slightly, I never got my head round that.. how come it glows ? and does it hide any other secrets in its golden locks ?
I waved back, happy to see her, I flew to the window, it being to late to head back,
''hiya punzie'' I smiled
''jack ! when you said you'd be back soon, I didn't think you meant.. today ! she said
I sat on her window, looking round,
'' if your looking for that staff of yours its in my room, ill show you '' she said casually
''oh . ok'' I said, wondering what else I might find
she walked up the spiral staircase and I followed stepping slowly, looking at all her paintings.
'' some of these are really good '' I said pointing at there sketches in the walls, my hand brushed the wall, looking at the painted hair flowing from the top on the stairs
''oh.. well I've had a lot of practise, you know.. '' she teased '' thanks '' she said, blushing slightly
she opened the door, an I instantly looked around, seeing a small shelf with only 3 books, and lots of pots of paint and a whole draw filled with art books and paintbrush's, now I know what she does all day.. I felt kind of sorry for her, as I looked around I saw she had little room left for paintings, I picked up one of her books, and skipped few the pages of pencil drawings, paintings and mosaics, they were all incredible, finally I saw a picture of her, she drew it perfectly, she added a few wisps of yellow in her hair, and her eyes were a garnet green, it was honestly a beautiful picture,
'' hey.. um can I have this one ? '' I said showing her the picture, looking at it still
''oh.. umm sure, im glad you like it, my mother isn't so keen on arty stuff, but she likes them abit''
''oh and here's your staff '' she said handing it to me, it felt nice to be with it again,
''yea, thanks.. '' I said sitting on her bed side, putting the painting in my pocket
'' so.. you've been up here your whole life, well not my whole life, but pretty much yea, ''
''humph..i don't think I could stay up here for what ? 15 years ?''
''16.. I was moved when I was 2, but I don't really want to talk about it.. ''
''oh ok..'' I said pathetically
''want to play a game ? '' I wondered suddenly
''umm sure, what kind of game ? '' she asked
''Well, lets just say, you win, I do you one favour, but when I win you do me A favour''i smirked
''oh, when you win ? really ? ha ! lets see about that ! she said
I like it when she gets competitive
''ha ! OK, how about a race ? '' I asked,
''well, I don't want to make a mess inside, we cant really race,..'' she said sadly
my eyes drifted out the window, I looked at her and smiled
''no ! you know I cant..'' she said disappointed
''come on, just try, I promise il protect you..''
she looked at me, as if she did trust me but she wasn't sure
'' just round the glen, once, just you and me, I promise '' I stood next to her, and put my arm round her, slowly going towards the widow with her,close
I felt her shiver as we stepped forward, and her shoulders tensed
'' we will come straight back, I promise'' I said, looking into her deep green eyes
''ok, you first..'' she said, smiling as if she had abit more confidence
I flew out the window and waited for her, she hooked up her hair and stood in the arch of the window
''its ok, im here '' I said, giving her some space, but to my reaction, she had already jumped, she was almost flying down, a bright smile on her face, but she stopped inches from the floor, as she froze there looking at the floor I flew down at her side
'' your almost there, one more step ''I supported
she put her feet down and stood up, a huge grin spread across her face
'' I did it ! I did it jack ! '' she gave me a huge hug ''thank you for helping me..''
'' your welcome, '' I smiled '' anytime...''
I hugged her back, stroking her hair slightly, I hugged her slightly tight, because she backed off slightly, but she relaxed and smiled at me
''anyway, lets get racing, the sooner I win the sooner I can look round abit more..'' she said
I laughed at this, ''ok over the that tree and back '' I smirked ''3... 2.... 1 !''
we were running, I sprinted to the tree and pushed myself back. turning around found she was in front of me ! I ran abit faster, but I couldn't catch up !, I super quickly raised of the ground and flew to her side, I then landed in front of her and kept running
'' ha !!'' I said with upcoming victory
''jack that's cheating !'' she said, still running close behind me,
when I quickly turned around, she flung her blonde hair at me and it got tangled round my feet, I fell to the floor and she instantly over took me,
''ok now that was cheating ! " I said, looking up to see her at the finish line
''well well well, your not the only one with a trick or two up there sleeve !'' she smirked down at me, then helped me up, but I took her hand and pulled her down, she fell on top of me, and pushed me , giggling, we both lay on the grass, and looked up at the sky, we saw a few clouds,
'' I never seen the sky from this point of view, its beautiful, ''
I looked at her face, seeing the shine in her eyes, and her cheeks blushed slightly '' yea.. beautiful''
she looked at me, and smiled brightly, i smiled back, i just felt so relaxed with her, she was so easy to talk to and laid back, but also stood for her corner, it was the beginning of a awesome friendship, and possibly.. just maybe something more
