"Mama do we gotta move" I say as I walk down the stairs to the living room for one of the last times. "Yes we're not staying here any longer were moving to the suburbs I can't stand it out here so far from everything and all these bugs it's irritatin" My mama said in her country accent. We live in a small but cozy beach front house in the middle of an unknown part of town down here in Florida. Everywhere you turn theirs trees and some dirt. I have never been to the city for more than an hour or two and sure as heck never been to the suburbs. Where we live in now is a small light blue house right off a dirt road. Chrystal blue water right outside and a nice fishing pier next to the boat shack. Walk a couple yards down and theirs a private beach that we don't necessarily own but it's so secluded no one even knows it's there.
I walk to the living room and look around trying to take in every bit of it before we left for good. My parents never gave me a real reason why we were moving they just kept making up excuses. I tried to convince them to stay. I even offered to help out on our farm down the road that smells god awful and they still said we were moving to the stupid suburbs. I haven't seen the house we were moving to yet but we were going today to check it out. It's all the way in Ohio. My dad was over there already since he was driving a moving truck all the way over there he wanted to get a head start. We were going to start driving round midnight which gave me a while to say goodbye to all of my friends.
Midnight rolled around and I said bye to all of my friends already and I finished loading up the U-Haul van. I was crying by that time because I did not want to leave the house I lived in since I was a baby. I walk around the house one more time. It was empty but it still felt like home. I walk up the stairs to my room where the hole in the wall was and I grab a nice sized piece of wood and shove it in my pocket and kept walking around the house. It felt different knowing that this was the last time I'm ever going to see this place. I take a sheet of paper I wrote a letter in and set it on the top step. It was a letter to whoever was to move in next. it read;
