The Only One

Chapter 6

"You didn't tell me you are romantically involved with one of Nim's boys," Steve says smiling at a tired Amelia.

She blushes and looks away, holding her cup of coffee up to take a sip.

"She's grouchy," Sean comments getting ready for his classes.

"Because I didn't sleep much last night, I got home late."

Ivory shakes her head next to her. "You know who didn't sellp much, if at all last night? Remi."

Amelia shakes her head. "Not again."

Steve holds his temples. "How many times do I have to tell that girl she has more time than just a night or two for every one of the songs. She needs to stop torturing herself..."

"She just does it, because she thinks you'll be happy."

"Well," Steve frowned, "I'm not. I care for her health and this is unhealthy."

Amelia stands up. "I'm going to go wake her up."

Ivory follows shaking her head. "No, this is a bad idea. Let her sleep."

"I had to get up early."

"You- she didn't go to bed even an hour ago."

Amelia turns around. "You shouldn't be letting her stay up that late!"

"I-"

The door opens behind Amelia, and Remi exits it, her hair washed and brushed her makeup done.

She smiles softly at Ivory. "What's going on?" She asks.

"Nothing," Ivory smiles.

"I went to wake you up..."

"I was up."

"Did you sleep at a-"

"Remillia, get in here!"

Remi nods and walks past Amelia and Ivory mouthing. "What'd I do?"

They both shrug and follow her out.

"Remillia, how late did you stay up writing the song?"

Steve eyes her intently, she shrugs. "What does it matter?"

"Your health is what matters. Now, how late did you stay up?"

Remi sighs, "I didn't even really sleep. But I almost finished the-"

"Remillia Jade Scarlett, you have so much time to finish the song, there's no need to stay up all night to finish anything eat some breakfast, then we're going to the studio. Give me what you have so far, and after we get there I'll give you until around one thirty to sleep, then you get up and you and I will work on the song, and later on tonight you're going to bed early. You need your rest for tomorrow we have a joint practice."

Remi nods, "Okay."

She gets herself some breakfast as Amelia gapes at Steve. Remi is a very stubborn person, but the two of them have a bond like he's a relative. He cares for all of their health and well-being.

Remi is also a very caring person, she does many things for many people, and before they left the states she did a lot of volunteer and charity work.

She handles most of the songs to save her band mates from being stressed out. But, caring as she is she's also very stubborn and can be extremely sassy, and blunt. But with Steve, much like with her parents she listens to them intently. Also willing to hear what he has to say, even if he is about to lecture her.

Amelia knowing her and being best friends with her since the two we're twelve years old, know how Remi's mind works. Even better than Ivory, who met Remillia about the same time as Amelia did.
