SOPHIA

Sean dropped me home safely. Grandpa Joe had been very worried as I thought so. He was angry because I had not picked up any of his calls.

"I tod you gramps, for the ninth time I'm okay!" He's been asking that since I walked into the kitchen.

"Who was that boy who dropped you off? Did he hurt you? Must I call the cops on him?"

"Grandpa, I'm fine. And no there's nothing he did to hurt me, there is absolutely no reason to call the cops on Sean," in fact he should be rewarded. He saved me. Two times.

"Are you one hundred percent sure Sophia?"

"I'm one thousand percent sure gramps, and gramps, please call me Blair," I was done with that name.

I slept very little last night. Or maybe I didn't even sleep at all. Nightmares are ugly. Especially when it's haunted by a person you used to love more than anything else in your life.

"I'll see you in the evening gramps," I kissed his forehead and left for work.

"Mandy I swear to god! I'm OK! I'm here aren't I? In all flesh and blood. See?" I put my hands up and waved them, "I'm human! I'm alive! You can stop staring at me like your going to offer me to the devil now,"

"Do you know how worried I was? Huh?" She crossed her arms, "you left your phone and, speaking about phones we really need to buy you a new one," I rolled my eyes at that, it was a small cheap phone which had a cracked screen and I don't really mind it, "now where was I? Oh yes, you left your phone and then, and then puff," she put her hands up, "your gone,"

"I'm sorry, I was just having a huge headache and I wanted to leave I just forgot that I even had a phone at that moment," I looked at her hoping she would buy it.

"OK but do that again next time and we will call the cops sending a search party even if you went missing for five minutes when you need to go pee, okay?" Ethan said sternly which only made me end up laughing.

"I don't take five minutes to pee Ethan,"

"So B, met any hot guys?" Lara wiggled her eyebrows.

"Nope," I just saw that bastard of an ex though, lWhere's Cara?" I asked curiously.

"Oh, she isn't coming today," Alex said handing over a customer's balance.

"Did she say so? Is she sick?"

"She comes earlier than all of us. If she's not here by the time one of us makes it, then it means she's not here," Lara explained.
