SOPHIA

"Hey B, we're planning on going out tonight, wanna join?" Ethan smiled. I was just cleaning up so I could leave now.

"Going out where?" It's been a week and I already love it here. These guys are the best people I've ever met. I've never had friends like them before, Caleb wouldn't let me have any. I'm so glad to have met these folks, they are just so friendly!

Except for Cara of course, she's quite the opposite. That girl's been biting my ass every time she sees me. She's quiet and arrogant and, so rude to me. For an example yesterday, I spilt the latte I made, which was an accident really, I tripped. I can be really clumsy just so you know. She just snapped at me.

"Are you always this clumsy? You can't do absolutely anything right! I seriously blame Camila for not giving you some sort of test before you take this job! This is the fifth latte!"

She would give me creepy stares when I'm not looking, although I can feel her stares burning holes into my back.

"We were thinking of heading over to The Marz," he smiled, "it's a cub right down the end of the street," he clarified after he noticed my lost look.

"Oh, sure. I guess I'm up for it, I've got nothing to do"

"Amazing!" Ethan exclaimed and walked over to Mandy.

Tonight I want to feel free. I want to start over. I want to be reckless tonight. Do crazy things with crazy people. I look in the mirror and smiled proudly at my make up. I was wearing a backless bandage tight black dress.

"Finally getting out of the house I see," I was downstairs when grandpa Joe grinned.

When I was thrown out grandpa Joe was the only one who willingly took care of me. I didn't even know he existed until the day I got a call from the hospital.

~FLASHBACK ~

"Hello is this Mrs. Rivera speaking?" An unfamiliar voice said to me.

"Miss," I corrected him tightening my jaw.

"Apologies, but you need to come to the Mrawland hospital right away. There has been an accident,"

"Who exactly got involved with this accident?" For all I know, I didn't have anybody left. No family members. No cousins, well that is because I had considered it that way as none of them was willing to take care of me.

"Jonathan Stewart, whom I believe is your grandfather,"

It took me a bit of time to sync all those words in. Grandfather.

I had a grandfather.

The last time I checked, I remember my aunt saying that all my grandparents were dead. So was that a lie then.

"Miss. Stewart?"

"U-uh yeah I'm coming right away," by right away I meant go all the way to Tenessese where he lived.

~END OF FLASHBACK~

Grandpa had lukemia. It was a miracle he survived. That was what I got to hear when I stepped inside the hospital room. It was the first very time I saw grandpa and he was like a replica of my dad, the way I remember. Hopefully he's not just like my dad

He was so nice to me at first and I had even started to wander weather he was just acting it out the way Caleb did. I had lost all trust and everything, simply in everyone. It was just too hard for me.

But years passed by and grandpa Joe stood me back up on the ground. He lifted me up. He helped me survive all the hate I was getting back from the other side. He was my inspiration.

I've been helping him with everything since I met him. He was a hard worker and owned a lot of lands here in Texas. In other words he was rich. Other than helping him I too did my own job which was working at the cafe. Life was good with grandpa. And I hope to keep it that way too.

"I'm going out with my friends grandpa," I smiled.

"I'm glad you are Sophie, go have fun, you've been here under your shell enough, get out of it,"

"You sure you'll be fine all by yourself? I made pasta and there's garlic bread if-"

"Soph," he cut me off with a chuckle, "go,"

"Are you sure?" I hesitated.

"Go," he now said with a serious face.

Caleb's P.O.V

Drunks and sweaty bodies all over are not my kind of thing. And right now this is all I see. "Hey Caleb," a voice purred. I noticed her when I walked inside the club. "Ohmigosh Caleb!" I remember her squealing with some other girls. Now normally it would turn me on. But today was just not the day. Instead, it made me just cringe.

"Do I know you?" I asked annoyance audible in my voice.

"No... but maybe you can, if you take me home with you, you can get to know me in-"

"Please move aside, unless you want vomit all over you in less than three seconds," In a flash she scurried away with a disgusted face.

Having to hear the same words over and over again was sickening. Especially looking at their fake eyelashes and lips and boobs and ass was even more sickening.

Sophia was never fake. A voice in my head said.

She's gone.

I should be happy right? After all it was just a business contract. Nothing more. I got rid of the fat pig. I should be darn happy. Why am I even thinking about her.

"A beer," I said to the bartender.

Taking the glass in my hand I turned around in my chair glancing at the dance floor. It was that moment when something caught my eye as I was about to drink from my glass.

A Brown cascade. So wavy and so long and it was moving everywhere showing an exposed back. It was a skin that some part of me instantly recognised. Her back was to me as she was welcoming the dance floor as her humble home doing crazy, sexy, mind blowing dance moves with her hips that can give any man wicked ideas. She had the perfect curves in all the damn right places. Short dress with high heels that emphasised her very, very long legs. Damn. I am very much turned on right now.

I realised it wasn't just me as when I escaped her trance and looked around, every man's eyes were undressing her. And for some reason I did not like it. I wanted to punch every single one of them.

What is wrong with me?

Mentally slapping myself, I turned back around and downed the beer. I asked for another.

After maybe three or four drinks, I turned. Fresh air. That's what I need right now. I turned to the dance floor and was slightly disappointed as I couldn't spot her anywhere.

Getting down from the bar stool I took long strides towards the exit, and that's when I colided bodies with someone.
