Yami pov.

I started crying, for a reason not even I could explain. I guess it was the thought of Yugi possibly dying. I couldn't stand to see the one I loved looking like this. I tended to some of his wounds, and then I saw them. The, now, thin red lines across his palms.

I shuddered at the imagination of that happening. I can't see how Yugi could even handle that much pain. But then I recalled the sharp pain I had felt, and when I saw him bare on that wall, It had sent me over the edge. I would've killed Marik, if Yugi wasn't top priority.

Yugi stirred in his sleep, so I held him tightly into me. More tears slipped from my eyes as sobs wracked my body.

"Yugi, please be okay" I said.

My plea fell on deaf ears. I soon cried myself to sleep, not letting my grip on Yugi loosen any.

I awoke with a deep breath. I looked around and saw Yugi still asleep. My breathing slowed in pace and I eventually calmed down. He muttered something as he rolled over into me.

"Hmmmm....Yami"

I just laid there with him snuggling into me. I didn't want to move because he looked so peaceful. But then his breathing altered and he started shaking. I got into a position so I could look into his eyes.

He was awake, and he was scared. I tried to sooth him, but he needed an explanation.

"Aibou, you are back at the palace. I brought you here" I said slowly running my hand through his hair.

"Yami? Why am I wearing your clothes?" Yugi said looking down at himself.

"Because yours were torn. I gave you mine and just wrapped myself in the remnants of yours" I said with a smile.

"I'm not worth it. Especially not after what happened with Marik" Yugi said turning away from me.

"You didn't do that willingly Yugi. You are so worth that and so much more to me. I love you Aibou" I said turning him back around.

Tears came to his eyes as his arms wrapped around me. I couldn't tell if he was happy, or he had finally broken from the mental strain that had been going on. I could imagine his barriers were sky high by now.

"I love you too Yami" he whispered.

"I love you too Yugi" I said lovingly.
