Chapter 21: Turn the machine on!

Fionna's POV

I woke up with the delicious smell of bacon pancakes. I went upstairs and there she was cooking my breakfast.
"Good morning sleepy. Are you hungry?"- Cake asked me.
"Hey, of course I am."- I said enthusiastic.
I started eating my breakfast. Cake knows quite well how to do it. I was just enjoying it when Cake remaided me.
"So, are you going to meet Marshall today?"- she giggled.
Oh right, I still can't believe that he is my boyfriend now. I wished for so long that him and I were a couple and now we finally are. This is going to take a while until I finally face this normally.
"Oh, I don't know. I'm new at this 'girlfriend and boyfriend' thing. But before I'll go to The Candy Kingdom, I go to his house."- I smiled at her.
"I know you're new but that is normal. At least you guys love each other."
"Yeah, I still can believe that I'm actually dating him."- I said happily.
"I know sweety. Now hurry up and go meet Marshall, he probably misses you."- she said smiling.
"Yeah, you want to get rid of me. I'll go, just this time."- I joked.
"Have fun Fionna."- she said when I exited the house.
I started walking in Marshall's house and my mind began to fill with thoughts. It's so strange thinking that Marshall Lee is dating me, that we are a couple. We seem so different, with nothing in common. I mean, that was what I thought when I wasn't his girlfriend. That I'd never had a change to date him, because he wouldn't love me. And now, he assumed his feelings for me.
That's why my brain can't procress all this information, it's just too much. But I feel happy, I finally can see him like a boyfriend, who would do anything to protect me. 
I was so concentrating thinking that I didn't noticed I was already in his house.
"Hey love, how are you?"- Marshall said with his kind voice while he kissed me.
"Hi Marshall, I'm fine. And you?"- I said happily to see him.
"This might sound cheesy but I missed you so much."- he hugged me passionately.
"Me too Marshall."- I smiled.
"Do you want some strawberries? I was eating some of them while playing on by axe bass."
"Yea, I'd eat some."- he gave me some strawberries to my hand and I started eating them. They were good actually.




Marshall Lee's POV

Fionna started eating the strawberries and I was just looking at her perfection. I never thought I could be her boyfriend, it's still strange to thing I finally am.
"Marshall?"-she said all of a sudden.
"Yes, Fi?"- I looked at her curious.
"It's so strange that I'm finally your girlfriend. You can't imagine for how long I've been in love with you, and all the time I thought that I'd never be your girlfriend. And now, we are."-she said honestly.
"I know, it happened to me the same. That's why we belong together."
"You're right Marsh. Well, I have to go, I promised Gumball that I'd be at The Candy Kingdom at 5 p.m."- she said firmly.
"You're meeting Gumball?"- I have to admit, I was jealous.
"Yes, he called me to meet him. Why?"
"Nothing."- I looked down, not showing that I was actually mad.
"Don't be jealous Marshall. I love you, don't doubt it. Bye."- she said giving me a kiss on my lips.
"Wait, I'll go with you. I'm faster than you, so I'll put you there in a minute."
"Great, thanks babe. let's go!"- she said holding my hand, exiting my house.


Fionna's POV

Marshall pick me up 'bridal style' and we reached The Candy Kingdom in just a minute. I knocked the door and Gumball opened cheerful.
"Hi Fionna!"-he said excited.-"Oh. Hello Marshall."-and his excitement disapeared. Oh god, can this guys just be friends?
"Hi Gumball!"- I looked at Marshall and he just answered with a small smile, I knew it was fake.
"Just curious, but why is he going here?"- Gumball whispered to me, not realizing that Marshall could hear it too.
"I was with him before going to meet you. He offered to keep me company."- I said firmly.
"I offered because that is what boyfriends usually do."- he said without staring at Gumball's eyes just to provoke him.
"Said what?? Boyfriends?"- he said shocked.
"You heard me."- Marshall smirked. I knew he just wanted to prove Gumball that I'm not available anymore.
"You guys are a couple?"- he said looking at Marshall and I shocked, I mean super shocked.
"Yes, we are."- we said in tune.
"Since when?"- he asked.
"Tomorrow."- I said firmly. His face seemed like he was almost close to having an heart attack.
"I can't believe this..You're in love with Marshall.. I-I.."- he seemed so perplexed that he even stuttered.
I looked at Marshall and he had the same expression in his face like I had. We were both confused with all of this that we didn't know what to say.
"Sorry Fionna, I have to go."- Gumball said closing the door.
"What was that?"- Marshall looked at me in unbelieving.
"I don't know."- I said still shocked.
"It was like you dumped him or something like that."- he laughed.
"Yeah, it really seemed that. Do you think he is in love with me?"- I said curious.
"I don't like knowing that you have suitors, but he's certainly in love with you beautiful."- he said looking me in the eyes. I was shocked, now Gumball is in love with me? I don't want to hurt his feelings.


Gumball's POV

I can't believe this. Fionna has a boyfriend. I lost her and all because of Marshall Lee. Oh, he will regret it.
"Peppermint, turn the machine on!"
"Yes, your majesty."
"Now, Marshall Lee will see what I feel and Fionna will be mine!"





Wow, what do you guys think?
Now, Gumball is in love with Fionna too.
