Marlie Thorne has been in captivity for the past eight years, she was taken away when she was five, and doesn't remember much of her life before captivity, all she remembers is a lady hovering over her, with the same hazel eyes as her.
When a violent explosion rocks the basement she's been held captive in, Marlie escapes, not knowing that the people that caused the explosion were looking for her. Mid-run Marlie shifts into a dark blue (almost black) wolf.
Wandering aimlessly, disoriented and confused, she finds herself on Shadowbound pack land, where two brothers, Texas and Alaska find her.
