Faking Tragedy

Chapter 3

Monday

Ronnie's P.O.V

"Rise and shine and give god the-" Colton started to say but the pillow I sailed his way stopped him from finishing his statement.

"Five. More. Minutes. Please" I begged

"It's 10 o'clock, you're already two hours late for school" He explained, I didn't take a second to absorb this, the only thing that I felt was my body falling unto the floor and then soon after getting up and pushing him out of my room and after that I headed to my bathroom. After I finished bathing and cleaning my teeth, I got dressed and rushed down stairs but not before grabbing my school bag and phone.

"It's a miracle!" My Dad shouted as I entered the living room which was attached to the kitchen and dining area.

"What is a miracle?" I asked as I placed my bag on the couch.

"That you're up so early, it is about 5:35 now" he said checking his watch

"It is five thirty wait, how...?" He tricked me, Colton tricked me," I said angrily "Colton!" I shouted

"Ronnie, guess what?" Javen said distracting me

"What?"

"Colton made you breakfast because he has something big to tell you" he said walking closer to me "Come right this way" He ushered me to the dining area, as he pulled out a seat and made me sit down. Then Bennett came and placed a plate of chocolate chip pancakes in front of me. As I began to drool, I placed the napkin provided onto my lap as I grabbed my fork and started to eat. Then Colton brought some orange juice for me along with my favourite chocolate pop tarts.

"What's the catch?" I asked him with my mouth full of this chocolaty goodness.

"What catch, there is no catch enjoy" He said exiting the room and I continued to devour what was placed before me.

Turns out there was a definitely a catch.

He wanted to 'try' and be nice to Javen and I so he could get a new car he desired so much. Well he was succeeding at his task at the moment when he begged mom if he could drive Javen and I to school and I just might let him achieve it, sabotaging is one thing I won't do. So here we are in the car as the music pumps through the air like blood pumps through our veins.

"You know I can drive myself and Ronnie to school, right?" Javen stated as Colton turned down the pumping music.

"I know but the car I want can't wait okay-" He began to say then he sighed saying "I need it before I graduate; there is a road trip that the gang and I are planning to do" the 'gang' meaning his friends.

"And this car is going to help, how?" I asked

"Because this trip last until the end of summer" Colton said smiling

"That's the stupidest plan ever; you mean you're going to be gone from summer till the starting term?" Javen asked and Colton nodded

"That's bull crap" I said "So I won't see you until you get break from college" as we indulge in silence I saw that he wanted to speak but knowing us he wouldn't dare say anything else about the matter, as though we desired it, and he started the car and drove off. Colton was turning into dad, always digging into personal life and the life with his lover but never with his children or family, always from home with friends drinking and having fun, well it sucked and that's when I decided that sabotaging is defiantly what'll do.
