Reina: Thanks for the votes! Let's continue on with the story!

Corrin

Having Robin in charge of our tactics was a refreshing change.

I-I didn't have a crush on him or anything! I seriously don't! It's just that Robin is a really great tactician that knows how to minimize injury and maximize attacks! However, Leo didn't look exactly happy about this, so I think that he hated Robin. I also noticed that Takumi had a tendency to glare at him when Robin wasn't looking, so both of my brothers looked about ready to strangle Robin.

After setting up camp for the night, someone tapped on the flap of my tent. "Corrin?"

"Come in!"

Robin entered with a smile. "I just did a perimeter around our camp, and we're close to El Rio del Tiempo!"

I smiled. "That's good to hear... Will we catch Grima in time?"

"Considering that none of us have disappeared yet, I say we have a fighting chance."

"Cool!" I fist pumped. After a few seconds, I looked out the tent flap and hardened my face. "Takumi! Leo!"

Two "eeps!" echoed through my tent as my younger brothers dashed away from my voice. I began to laugh, and Robin joined in as well.

"It's so fun to tease them," I replied.

Robin looked at me. "You said that they're your brothers?"

"Yeah... Takumi's my stepbrother and Leo is my foster brother... It's complicated, as I have a few more foster siblings and step siblings."

"Family reunions must be fun," Robin commented.

"Tell me about it..." I said, wincing at the memory of Camilla and Hinoka fighting over who got to help me get ready for my coronation.

I looked at Robin. "What about you? What's it like in Ylisse?"

Robin thought for a second. "Well... I'm Prince- I mean, Exalt Chrom's tactician. I help him with battles... And I help Frederick make sure that Chrom doesn't break anything. For a smart guy, he is lacking in the common sense and spatial awareness departments."

I raised an eyebrow. "How can a king break stuff?"

"Ask Chrom. He might tell you."

I began to laugh. "If I meet him, I will." After a while, I added, "What about you?"

"What about me?"

"Anything else you like to tell me?"

Robin laughed. "I'm not good with dating. Lissa keeps telling me to get a girlfriend though."

"How can a girl not like you? You're handsome, intelligent, bra- TAKUMI!!! LEO!!!! GET OUT OF MY TENT OR I WILL SMACK YOU BOTH!!!!"

Leo and Takumi ran out of the tent, causing me to massage my temples. "I think they hate you."

Robin laughed. "I don't blame them. Weird guy with magic powers and who knows a villain hitting on their sister? I would go after him too if I had a sister."

I began to laugh. "You're funny."

"I aim to please," Robin bowed. He rose up. "I'm going to grab some more food before I rest up. I'll see you in the morning." As he left, he turned and smiled. "By the way, this food is way better than some of the stuff Chrom prepares."

I cross my arms. "And what does he prepare?"

"Bear meat."

"You're bluffing."

Robin gave me a serious face, causing me to gape as he left. "What kind of prince do you work for?!" I yelled behind him.

When Robin didn't answer, I laid down on my bed. I tried to sleep, but I couldn't. Sleep evaded me.

After what must have been hours, I snuck put of my tent. Leo and Takumi were asleep in their tents, but Robin was reading by the fire. I walked over and sat down next to him. "Can't sleep?" He asked.

"Yeah... What about you?"

He smiled. "I couldn't sleep either, so I decided to read fairy tales."

"Fairy tales?"

Robin nodded. "Yeah. I know it's ridiculous, but they're actually a bit violent. Like the Robber Bridegroom. A young girl was going to be married a guy but discovered he was a cannibal, and when she revealed it at her wedding, the groom was killed."

"That's cheerful," I muttered.

He laughed. "That's nothing compared to the Little Mermaid or the Ice Maiden. They both end in tragedy."

I shook my head. "Why do people do this?"

Robin shrugged. "Maybe as a warning?" He turned the page. "Want me to read you some of one right now?"

"Sure!"

Robin smiled and began to read aloud to me well into the night.

Reina: They'll have the battle in the next chapter, but not before someone else joins them.

Should Robin be the father of Morgan in the story and be a widower, or should Morgan not be born yet?
