Jealousy. (Nate Maloley and Derek Luh fanfic)

Part 10!!

Lexi POV
I got as far as the end of the parking lot before Delany, Derek, Chad, and KDL tried calling.

I finally answered chads call, "Hello?"

"Lexi," he paused, "your brother and Nate go into a fight, and John is unconscious.." You could hear the worry in chads voice.

"What?!" I screamed, running back into the studio. I ran from hall to hall to find where they ended up.

I finally found them at the end of an empty hall that was basically a dead end. I looked all around and finally noticed my brother, the only family I have left, laying there on the ground basically lifeless.

I walked closer to the group of people all around my brother. They all moved to the sides as I fell to my knees next to my big brother. I felt my hot tears start to fall.

"Did anyone call an aid car?!" I croaked, trying to keep my voice calm. My hands were shaking and the tears just kept coming.

"I just got off the phone with 911, they're on their way." Delany said softly to me. She bent down next to me and started to rub my back. She's always been a good friend.

"Okay," I paused, as my eyes wandered to find Derek, who as usual was never to be found, "where's your brother?" I asked her, my speech barely audible.

She pointed down the hall, "he's down there with Nate. I have no clue what they're doing. I don't even want to know. I bet they're --" her words started to fade as I ran down the hall.

I found Derek sitting in a chair with an ice pack against his left jawline. He stared down at his phone looking at God knows what, but the look in his eyes was soft, like he's hurting. Which he probably is, I mean, something did happen to his jaw.

"Derek?" I spoke scaring him a little.

He looked up at me and suddenly smiled. He looked happy when he heard my voice, it was weird, but it made me smile when he did.

"Hey Lil Mama," he paused, standing up and pulling me into a hug, "how you holding up?"

I'm scared, terrified that my brother won't wake up, worried that the only family I have left is going to leave me too.

"I'm fine, how about yourself? What happened?" I asked gesturing towards the ice pack on his jaw.

He pulled the ice pack down and revealed a purplish blue jawline.
"I got into it with Nate after your brother went down and he hit my jawline." He finally spoke.

"Oh. Well you need to get check out by an EMT when they get here." I told him.

"Nah, I'm fi-"

"Don't argue. You're going to get checked out." I said sternly trying to get that thought through his head.

"Fine, only because I love you." He chuckled.

"I love you too, Luh Luh." I smiled.

Delany pov
I heard the sound of sirens fill the air and Lexis feet hitting the ground. She stood next to me tapping her toes back and fourth. She always does that when she's nervous.

"Is anyone related to this young man?" One of the EMT's asked.

"I'm his younger sister sir," Lexi paused, "why?"

"Well ma'am, he's still breathing, and he has a pulse. So I think your brother will be fine, but we will have to run some tests at the hospital to make sure. Would you like to ride back with us?" He asked her while lifting John onto a gurney.

"No thank you," she croaked walking away. She was so worried, and she keeps thinking that it's her fault.

"I'll go down with him." Chad said stepping forward.

"Alright, let's go." The EMT said as he slammed the back two doors shut of the aid car.

I watched as the aid car drove away, and Derek chased after Lexi. It's crazy to think that 45 minutes ago everyone was chill with each other, and now Nate had to send Lexis only family to the hospital. What an asshole! I told her not to date him, but guess who didn't listen.

Lexi POV
We walked down the hall to Dereks car, and we all slipped in. We drove off to the hospital in complete silence. I didn't know what to say, Derek didn't know what to say, Delany was singing to the music, and KDL was on periscope.

KDL pointed the camera at my face and I smiled, "hiiiiii guys!" I said happily. KDL laughed at me and started reading some of the comments to me.

"You're pretty, You're weird looking, follow me, why don't you date KDL, what happened to your brother." Were what most of the comments said. Fans are great I guess.

When we arrived at the hospital we walked straight inside and found the front desk lady, "how may I help you guys?" She sneered.

I opened my mouth so say some thing but was cut off by Derek, "yeah, can you tell us what room John Swift is in?" He smiled at her.

"Anything for someone as handsome as you." She said looking Derek up and down.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed. Apparently she heard me mimic her because she shot me an ugly glare, "what was that miss?" She asked with attitude.

"Nothing of your business 'miss'" I mimicked again.

"Room 159, on the 10th floor, sir." She flirted with Derek again.

I gotta admit, I do seem kind of jealous. But yanno Derek is just my best friend. I smiled at the lady and walked away rolling my eyes.

"Dude, what was that?" Derek asked me as we walked into the elevator.
I pretended that I didn't her him so he spoke again, "Lex, I know you heard me."

"Nothing." I muttered walking out of the elevator.

I ran down the hall and found my brothers room. I opened the door, walked in quietly, and say him turn over. He smiled at me as I walked to the side of his bed.

"Hey baby love," he said quietly, " how are you?"

I felt tears brimming in my eyes, "better now that I know you're okay."

"I'm not okay, beautiful." He paused pressing his lips together, "they found out that I have cancer.."
