The whole day, I kept thinking about my conversation with Clay. I kept having the faint sense that I was forgetting something important, and the feeling was growing as the day dragged on.
On the drive home with Clay, I decide to bring up the topic.
"Did you keep feeling that you were forgetting something today?" I ask curiously.
"Yeah, did you?" I nod my head. He pauses. "We can ask mom if she remembers what we were doing yesterday."
"Okay."
*One Hour Later*
"All I remember is that you two were up in Ruby's room going on about some phone that Ruby found at the mall," Mom says as she stirs the pot of chicken noodle soup on the stove.
Then it clicked. I had found an iPhone with pictures that were all of me! I look over at Clay. He has the same look of realization on his face. How could we have forgotten?! Does it have something to do with "The Headquarters", the only contact of the phone? What the hell happened?
