It's New Year's Eve, you and your boyfriend Rye decided to take a trip to celebrate it in New York this year.
It was gonna be a special one because it would be 5 years since you and Rye became official.
You were so excited to be spending yet another year with the love of your life.
You were getting ready to go to Times Square to watch the ball drop, you decided to wear a black dress with some high tops and a black leather jacket while Rye wore black skinny jeans with a plain white t-shirt and White high tops.
You made your way from the hotel to Times Square
Where it was packed...
You and Rye walked down to find a decent spot near the ball.
It was 11:57 and you were getting ready for the new year.
At 11:59, Rye pulls you in close to him and kisses you and tell you that he loves you so much.
The countdown begins and Rye moves slightly away from you and puts his hand in his pocket while you stood there looking up at the ball.
When it comes to the final 10 second countdown
You're still looking up not noticing that Rye is on one knee behind you.
When the ball drops you look around getting ready to kiss him when you finally notice he's on the ground.
He looks up at you with a small black box and says
'from the minute we met, I knew you would be the one, will you do me the honour of becoming my wife this year?'
You smile and say yes
Rye picks you up and swings you around placing the ring on your finger
He then puts you down, hugs you and whispers 'happy new year baby'
