Hotel Wonders Chapter 14

As we looked out of the elevator we oohed and ahed at the sights of our rooms, Nicole took the first room and Katie took the second floor, we estimated about seven floors. Leopard took the third, they expected me to go to the fourth but I went straight up, to the top. as it turned out, the seventh floor was the nicest. I guessed that, inside the rooms I found lists of the Winners. 

Just to clear it up, I'm going to put that in the comments for you guys to read so you don't have to read all one hundred and twenty names of the winners, that is if I get round to it XD. ;)

I read a few names when I heard the elevator approaching. "Cassie! We're heading out for coffee, wanna come?" Katie said, bursting into my room. "Nah, I'm good." I replied, speaking the truth, I very hungry, but something had caught my eye. When they left I picked up a long blade of a golden metal. I sucked in my breath, "A sword? How? Why?" I asked myself in my mind. I realized Alex Luthor had snuck behind me. I felt a cold metal against my neck. "Alex." I snarled. "About time you figured out it was me." I grabbed the sword and jabbed him where his stomach should have been, he sidestepped it and I spun around to face him. "You planted the sword." I told him. "How else to make you guilty of something to get you out of here, I've seen your power. I've seen your potential, you beat Leopard. You know, it was my work that created her, I gave her mother the chemicals needed to give her daughter powers. Yet you befriended her, she was always scared of her powers. Once we win the school trophy, we'll have enough power to take over the school. Your classmates can't win without you. She knew you would help her, you became friends. Once we win the school trophy, we'll have enough power to take over the school. Your classmates can't win without you. Its against my plans you could even beat Leopard, know I must kill you." He replied angrily. He pulled a pair of daggers from his pockets and started slashing at me. I slid under his legs and slashed my sword at his back. "Agh!" Alex yelled in pain, he pulled out two small pearls and crushed them. They made dense fog, when it cleared he was gone. I knew what I had to do, I burnt the sword in my fireplace and ran toward the café by the hotel. As soon as I got there I shoved the doors so hard they nearly broke by my hands, the glass shattered as I ran straight toward Leopard, Katie, and Nicole. "Alex... attack... s-sword..." I panted, I could feel my eyelids get heavier, then everything went black. I woke up at my apartment, my friends were looking at me concerned. I tried sitting up, "Lay down, you need rest." Leopard said, gently pushing me back down. "Heh, isn't that what they always say in the books?" Katie managed a slight smile, it quickly faded. "What happened to you?" she asked. "I was attacked, when you went to the café I stayed behind because I saw a sword, hidden under my bed. I picked it up and... Alex came into the room." I said, "Ow." I doubled over in pain as my whole body felt a tremor of pain. "Cassie!" Leopard cried. Nicole gasped, I realized she'd been quiet this whole time. "Y-you didn't happen to see him crush two pearls, did you?" Nicole asked, bitting her lip. "Yeah, why?" I said, wincing from the pain. "If he released them you will have to stop moving around for a day, the perfect time for a get away. If you weren't so tough, you'd probably been dead already." She replied, a worried look on her face. All of my friends' faces paled. "N-no, thats how long the Olympics last. I can't miss it. If we lose..." I thought about Alex's plan. "What's the big deal, I mean its just the Student Olympics." Katie asked in concern. "No, no you don't understand!" I cried out, "Ah!" I started feeling woozy, dizzy, lightheaded. I blacked out again.
