Kian went to go see his girlfriend, Jess. He wanted to talk to her about breaking up because stuff was getting a little too hard in his life and needed a break. Plus he was feeling a little different about being with her.
* KIANS POV *
I slowly knocked on her door, feeling nervous about what I was about to do. I quickly put myself together before Jess answered the door so she doesn't think anything is suspicious.
"Hey." I said.
"Um hey, what are you doing here?"
"I just wanted to talk about something."
She looked at me oddly and said, "okay, come in."
We went to her room, sat on her bed, and I looked at her. "Jess, I think we need to take a break or you know something like that..."
"What, I don't understand?" she said as she looked at me with teary eyes.
"Like break up. I'm sorry, but I don't think we are meant for each other. I mean I don't think we have much in common, and we don't see each other much. I hope you'll understand."
She started to cry and I felt so bad. I never thought I'd have to do this, but I mean I can't stay with someone I don't really have feelings for anymore. Jess will probably understand soon, at least I'm doing this now instead of staying in this relationship and making her like me more, and then doing it then to hurt her even more. Which would be like leading her on.
"Jess, please don't cry, it's for the best."
"But... but I don't get it."
"You will soon. I'm sorry."
"J-just go." she pointed to the door.
"Okay." I said quietly as I walked out the door, not wanting to make her more mad.
As I drove off I felt even more bad, but I knew it was the right thing. Now I just want to go hang out with Sam or something to get my mind off of things.
