* KIANS POV *

I woke up and got ready for school. I went to meet Sam at his house. He was still asleep like always because he stays up too late. I laughed, walking to Sam's room and saw his mom.

"Good morning, Mam."

She smiled and said, "How'd you sleep?"

"Eh, okay."

"Well, Sam's asleep so you can go wake him up if you'd like."

"Yeah, so easy to do." I chuckled and went to his room. "SAM!" I yelled. He didn't budge. I thought for a moment and lunged, landing on him.

Sam's eyes opened slowly. "What?"

"We have school. Duh."

"Oh yeah." He got up and started to get ready sighing.

...

They get to school after awhile.

* SAM'S POV *

I tell Kian that I'll see him later and we head to our classes. After walking away I hear a loud noise from down the hall. I go look, wondering what the hell it was. I see Connor Franta on the ground being kicked by a group of guys. My eyes widen, it's the whole football team. Connor doesn't deserve this he's a cool and nice guy. What did he do to them. I gulp and walk over to the group nervously. "Hey!" I didn't realize that had actually been said out loud.

They look at me and one says, "Get out of here you punk!"

"No." Oh shit. What have I gotten myself into.

Their eyes get bigger as they look at each other and evil smirks come across their faces. "What'd you say?"

"I said no. And that you're going to leave him alone." Oh man what have I gotten myself into I'm so dead now, I think, but hold my ground.

"Oh really?"

The principal walks over and breaks the football team and Connor apart. "What's going on?!" Mr. Rahman says demanding an answer. The football team just stands there and so does Connor.

Now this is where I come in, and I'm not sure whether to be proud of it or not. "The football team was beating Connor up, and I came to stop him, Sir."

"Thank you, Sam." He says as he turns and looks to the football team. "And what must your reason be for this?"

"Uhh." a player stutters.

"All of you to my office now! Sam, Connor you guys too."

Oh god. What did I do. All I did was try to stop it.

After sitting for about 20 minutes with Connor and Mr. Rahman in the other room with the players he came back and said that the football players have been suspended for a week, but Connor and I are fine because we didn't really do anything bad. He also said something about the football players had to do extra things in football practice or something like that.

Connor and I have become close friends since then. He thanks me for what I did, he insists I saved his life, but I just laugh because anyone could of done it.

I go home and lay down and find myself in a falling asleep, which I don't know where it came from. I slowly veer off into a deep sleep...
