Week 2

Fran looks at her grades with tears in her eyes, a look of despair was etched deeply into her face

'My grades are horrible I'm going to have to repeat the 9th again.' she thought to herself, she rested her head on the desk in her room

'I can't let mom find out.' she thought with a cold shiver going down her spine.

"Can't you even brew a simple potion?" A taunting voice cooed, before landing on Fran's shoulder.

"Please don't, can't you see I'm sulking right now?" A low retort came from her without much effort. Fran didn't even look at the feathery creature that landed on her

"Fine fine," Owl said with amusement, "I'll just contact your mother then."

"NO,DON'T!" Fran bolted out of her seat faster than the bird could react throwing him to the ground. Her voice trembling, "anything but that!" Fear quickly replacing the despair that was on her face not too long ago.

"Calm down you nitwit!" Owl said getting off the ground and onto his talons. He flew up to Fran's bed and landed on the bottom right bedpost. Light reflected off his silver rings giving him a slight white glow.

"Sorry please don't tell her please," the Frantic girl pleaded over and over again.

"I'm only here to report to Ms.Argus of your progress and that's all," owl replied in such a monotone voice it was as if he was repeating an order.

Owl closed his eyes expecting more pleading but all he got was a deafening silence. He looked up to find Fran looking back at him as if he was the embodiment of death itself. After a few seconds, Fran drop to her knees a stream of tears ran down her cheeks. She continued her silent crying thinking of how she would say goodbye to all her friends.

"All right all right just stop already!" Owl founding this rather annoying and wanted her to stop.

"W-what?" Fran whispered, her voice was very distant as if she wasn't there at all.

'Out of your eight children you made me her familiar.' he thought before replying to the hollow in front of him, "I won't tell her under a few conditions." his words were like a beacon of hope that guided her out of the darkness.

"R-really!?" Fran said feeling the life pure back into her. "But why?"

"No reason" Owl said flying over to Fran's desk.

"Does that mean you're finally accepting me as you master?" she thought out loud with a smile.

"Of course not!" Owl screech, "Now do you want to say here or not?" he turned his blushing face from Fran.

"Of course!" she said standing up.

"First of all. I want you to feed me Arca mice for the rest of the summer." he cooed thinking of his soon to be regular summer meal.

"Wait wait those are extremely expensive I don't have that kind of cash just lying around!" Fran said pulling her pockets inside out to prove her point.

"What about the money you've been saving up this year?" the bird said pointing his beak towards the large jar filled of dollar bills next to the bathroom's door, "you must have a few hundreds in there."

"That's for my trip to rainbow beach with my friends." she said blocking the bird's vision of the jar and holding her arms out wide.

"Sounds like enough to keep my beak shut," Owl tunatantly cooed, "besides you won't need it then since you'll be taking summer school so you can pass the 9th grade."

"What!? But then I won't have time to-" her sentence was cut short as a feather struck her chest; creating a small shockwave knocking her on her butt.

"No buts it's either take summer school or be taken out of this boarding school," Owl reprimanded her. His right wing was pointing at her.

"U-Understood" fran said saying goodbye to her summer plans

A/N just now getting done with this dialog is hards to make up especially in a fantasy setting. Whelp nothing much to say step for poor fran
