"Fuck off, Aaron Ramsey."

"Whoa," Jack chuckled from behind me. "This is gonna be way more interesting than I thought."

"Shut up!" Aaron and I yell in unison.

"I h-have to leave," I declare. "Like, right now."

"Ivy, why are you being like this?" Aaron reached me, and I flinch back ferociously. I land straight on Jack's chest from my backward walking.

I can't believe he just asked me that.

"We can talk this through — I get you are angry-"

"Are you kidding me? Angry?" I snap. "I assure you I am much more than angry right now, Ramsey. And if you don't get the fuck out of my face, I will ruin yours with my fingernails!"

"We can settle this, Ivy, please talk to me," he lets out an impatient sigh. "I know it's been a while, but we need to clear stuff out—"

"You ruined the chance of 'clearing stuff' by walking away," I air quote.

"I get it-"

"Oh, I don't think you do. And guess what, you never will get it. You have no idea what it was like for me, alright? You are such a fu-"

"Now, now," Jack drags me along with him. "As much as I am enjoying this, I think it's enough for one day."

"Let me go, Jack," I cry.

"Come in for a moment," he opens the door and pushes me in. "You need to cool off. You're so red I swear-"

"Are you laughing at me right now?" I frown.

He just covers his mouth with his hand, pretending to look serious.

"That is exactly what I need right now. Thank you so much," I mutter distastefully.

"Deep breaths before you explode or something," he laughs, and I glare at him.

"I should go," I sigh. "I have caused enough chaos."

"You don't have to," Jack shrugs.

"I can't stand him, Jack," I whine.

"I don't think anyone can."

I chuckle at him, rubbing my pounding head.

"Reason with him, Ivy," he adds. "You can't be angry forever."

"Watch me," I cock an eyebrow.

"Daddy!"

We both spin the direction of Archie's voice. I stagger again at the sight of Aaron standing behind him.

"I need you to come with me, daddy," Archie demands, and drags him away.

And the last thing I ever wanted happened.

I was in a room alone with Aaron.

Oh my ever so loving God.

"Ivy—"

"Don't," I instantly step away from him.

"Ivy, please," his pleading brown eyes made me stumble a little, and to my extreme agony, he grabs me by both hands to prevent me from slipping.

I let out an audible gasp at his contact, collecting myself away from him. My chest tightened with an unrecognized emotion, and I let out a shaky breath. He looks at me carefully and I snap my head sideways to avoid an eye contact.

Oh God no, I was about to cry.

Don't cry, please don't cry!

"Aaron!"

I hear a shrill voice from ahead. My eyes land on a little blonde girl, her curls bouncing as she ran to hug Aaron.

"I am happy you came to visit!" She exclaims, stuttering adorably here and there. "Where's daddy?"

"He's upstairs with Archie, my darling," he runs his fingers through her hair, ruffling the golden strands gently.

"Who's this?" The girl looks at me.

"This is my friend Ivy," Aaron looks at me.

"Hello," Delilah smiles.

"Hi there," I try my best to mirror her expression.

"It is nice to meet you," she declares adorably. "Your friend is very pretty," she toys with her golden hair, looking at Aaron.

"I know," he speaks, sending my heart to a frenzy. Heat accumulates on my cheeks, my breathing staggered as he looked at me.

Jack rushes to where I was, his eyes looking back and forth between Aaron and I. "Glad to see you're still alive," Jack shrugs at Aaron, before Delilah wrapped her hands around his legs. "Hello," Jack sings to her, and she smiles, reciting 'I love you daddy'.

"I have to go," I smile at Archie, who just finished climbing down the stairs, and Delilah. "Bye Jack," I look at him warmly, before turning to leave.

Before anyone could object, I was out the door, heading to the tube station.

"Ivy!"

Oh no.

Just keep walking.

Don't stop and turn around.

"Ivy, wait!"

Nope.

You're not going to speak to him anymore.

Before my inner conflict could resolve to a solution, I feel warm fingers wrapped around my wrist.

"Hold on, god damn it," he mutters, looking down at me. I try to free my hand from his grasp, but have no success in the matter. I keep trying different angles to release myself from his painful yet flattering grip, and fail. "Ivy, stop."

"No, you stop," I snap. "Stop getting on my nerves, before I my wish to kill you overpowers my self control."

"We can talk this through," he pleads and I fume.

I look up at those beautiful brown eyes, and pull myself together. At my visible relaxation, he lets go of my hand.

"We can't," I say with lethal calm.

And before he could plead anymore, I find my hand swung across his perfect face forcefully. His head snapped to the side, but I don't miss the widening of his eyes.

"It's too damn late."
