Neville's Not Happy

CHAPTER FOUR

(Ginny's Point of View)

"Neville!" I called, getting his attention in the Gryffindor common room.

"What, Ginny? I'm trying to do my Potions homework..."

"I have something exciting to tell you!" I said happily, walking over to him.

"What?"

I leaned close to him, so that I could whisper without anyone else hearing me. "Luna thinks you're cute."

"You talked to her about it?!" he half shouted.

"Well..."

He cut me off, "I told you not to!"

"Neville..."

"Ginny! You said you wouldn't!"

"Calm down..."

"Did you tell her? Did you tell her about what I thought of her?"

"No, Neville. Stop freaking out..."

"I told you not to tell her," he said, angrily.

Boy was he mad.

"I know. But I wanted to know what she thought of you."

"I don't care!"

"Aren't you going to be happy? She likes you back!"

"I told you not to tell her..."

"Neville. Calm down. She doesn't know about you liking her. I just talked to her about who she likes."

"She probably wouldn't want me to know... Ginny... This is bad..."

"Calm down, please. It's okay."

"I don't think it is! I don't want her to hate me!"

"She likes you, Neville!"

"I'm going to bed..."

"Neville... You didn't finish your homework..."

"It's not due for another three days... And I don't understand it... I'll ask Hermione for help tomorrow..."

"Neville... Don't be mad at me..."

"Ginny, I told you not to tell her. I'm not mad. I'm just upset. I'll talk to you in the morning."

"I'm sorry. I thought you'd be happy."

"I'm happy that she likes me... But I don't know if she wants me to know..."

"I'm sorry..."

"Goodnight..."

"Night..."

He walked upstairs, almost falling at the top, and went to bed.

I feel terrible about going against what one of my best friends said... I just wanted to make him happy...
