'Your a fat bitch Lucy!'
'No one will ever love a fat bitch like you!'
'Even your own friends are embarrassed of your over weight ass!'
I scrolled through my news feed on Facebook, more tears streamed down my face.
Everyone morning, this is all I see, same on Twitter. I've become so insecure I stopped posting pictures of myself on Facebook.
"Lucy, Sweetie are you up?" My mom said outside of my bedroom door, I wiped my tears and said "Yes mum I'm awake!" She then opened the door and came in with a big warm smile.
My mom was who I imagined I'd be; a perfect slim body.
My mom sighed, "Lucy, you can't try to hide it, I know you were crying before I came in here," "When will they stop mom! It's been happening ever since grade 8!" fresh tears streamed down my face. My mom pulled me in a hug. "Sweetie, don't let them bring you down, your got to keep your head high. The more you let them see they're bringing you down the more they'll do it. You can't let them have the upper hand in this." She's been saying that for almost 5 years and they ever stop, it gets worse and worse each day.
But I knew what she said was true, and this year, I, Lucy Marshall was going to have the upper hand.
"Now hurry up, and get ready. Chace is waiting for you." I nodded my head and went into the washroom.
There, I stood in front of the mirror, disgusted with myself. The past years, everybody's made me hate myself ten times more then I did before.
I took a couple seconds to take a few breaths as I did my business and got ready for school.
I came downstairs to see Chace.
He's been my friends for as long as I can remember, I mean I'm surprised as to why he hadn't left me like everyone else.
He's my best friend but also my world; no I don't like him in that way, he's like a brother to me since my three older brothers are embarrassed to be seen with me, god how much I love them! Note the sarcasm.
"Hey Chace!" I gave him a hug as I zipped up my jacket.
"Good morning, my lovely Lucy!" I just smiled and shook my head.
"Mom, I'm leaving, bye love you!" I ran up to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek and she laughed and replied with a 'bye' and I left with Chace to go to school.
"Get ready for a day of hell, Lucy." I mumbled to myself as I got into Chace's car while he just sighed and made his way to school.
