(Zarianna's POV)

I shut my eyes for a few seconds and once i opened them, i was in a different place.

I looked around the familiar place.

It looked like my old house not far from where i live right now.

But why would i end up here?

I got startled by the face in front of mine.

She was smiling at me, what for?

She looked like the new girl, i was sure of it.

Then, i found myself talking, "Perhaps we can call this as a token of our friendships."

I felt my lips tugging into a smile.

"So if that it is then, I am very grateful to have you as a friend so for that i shall give you this" she replied as she handed my a ring.

If i was right, the ring looked like the one i always wore. Passed down from the family.

"I shall treasure this till' the very end of my own life" I said without knowingly.

I placed the ring on my middle finger on my left hand like i would always do.

I blinked and found myself in the cafeteria again. With a few people staring at me.

I smiled and grabbed my food tray, walking away like nothing happened.

I walked to the new girl feeling the urge to talk to her.

"Hi! Your the new girl, right?" I asked once i reached her table.

"Yeah. I'm Rhaylaine. And you are?" She asked smiling at me.

I got shocked by her accent. I've heard it before.

" Are you british? "

"No, i have a love for theater of the old times. "

"That's interesting. I'm Zarianna, by the way. "

"Nice to meet you." She said friendly.

"Random question, have i met met you or seen you before?" I asked.

She looked uncomfortable and had a fake smile on.

"I don't think so." She replied.

i take it Rhaylaine isn't very good at lying.

Or, that's just the way she is.

Either way, i can't tell.

"Oh... Sorry, for being so creepy. I could've sworn i've seen you somewhere before." i remembered the flashback.

Maybe that happened before... maybe i just forgot it.

"Well, i'm sorry to disappoint but, i'm...uhh... new to the country and i don't think i've seen you anywhere before."

"Maybe we've met in another country before."

"I doubt it. I used to live in...uhh... Singapore."

"I've never been there before." i said regretting ever asking her about it.

"You should. It's a really amazing place."

I smiled at her friendliness.

Maybe i was wrong. Maybe she's not arrogant and an attention seeker like i've thought.
