NATHAN

"I know I said you can stay on the farm all summer but I just found out by Owen that this camp that your mother and I met at, is still going on. I really want you to go. Maybe you can finally get a girlfriend or something or even just make some new friends?" My dad told me this piece of heart breaking news as I walked into the house for lunch.

"What do you mean? You are sending me away AGAIN this summer?! You told me that you wouldn't do that again. Especially since last time I went to a camp I broke my arm."

It was true, last summer he made me go to this summer bible camp across the state and during a game of very intense human fuseball, someone slid under then bar I was at with cleats and kicked my left arm.

Luckily I'm right handed.

"I'm sorry I just really want you to go to this one. Maybe you'll met the love of you life."

I don't know what that. Considering my dad and I's lives are pretty fucked up.

He went to some dumb camp when he was my age, met some girl, they dated, broke up, dated, broke up, went to the same college, got engaged, had sex, found out she was having me, they split, once I was born she brought me to my dad and they haven't spoke since.

"Please?" My dad pleaded.

"Fine but only because Uncle Owen suggested it!" I say walking up the stairs to my room.

"Wait! Dumbass!" I laughed at his nickname for me and turned around to see my 40 year old father holding a paper airplane,"catch!"

Then he chucked it at me, it flew next to my head and I caught it by applauding it.

"What is this old man?" I said smiling.

"Just read it. Now skidaddle."

I walked up steep carpeted stairs to my lovely, messy, room.

Plopping back on to my bed, I open the paper airplane up to see what my father was all excited about.

"Hi, Nathan!

Great, three weeks away from the farm.

Well, I might as well try to make it fun.

I grab my big duffle bag and start cracking. Throwing basically any tshirt, pair of jeans, and shorts I can find in. Then I grab A plaid longsleeved shirt a nice pair jeans and my pair of high top tennis shoes for banquet night, my one pair of swim trunks, flip flops, a towel, a sleeping bag and pillow.
