Chapter 1
"How was your sleep?" I smirked at Sofia. I went to wake her up a while ago, and she just can't stop smiling the whole time on the way down here on the dining table.
"Good." She smiles as she got a spoonfull of cereals. Haha, I know she didn't sleep well last night. I know so much about her.
After we finished having our breakfast, we went upstairs to dress up for school. For my uni.
I finished on time and just went downstairs to wait for Sofia to finish, since I walk her to her school. To make sure no one bullies or do anything to my lil sis.
"I'm ready!" She came skipping down the stairs.
"We're leaving now mum. Bye!" We both said in unison as we left our house. Her school is just a stones throw, and yeah, I'm still learning how to drive. So for the meantime, walking her to school is all I can offer.
As we arrived at her school, there were this girls just like her age but look bitchy.
"Are these the girls you've been talking about?" She's been telling me about girls who are well, bitches. I know she's 15, but I still treat her like a little girl.
She slowly nodded her head as I watch the girl whip her hair to the other side with her hand as if she was in a commercial.
"Want me to go and.."
"No...I'm not a kid anymore. I can stand up for myself. Plus, I'm sure we will end up in trouble. Remember what happened when you tried that before too when you were studying here?" /She slightly giggles.
Yeah, i remembered that. When I got in trouble for defending my sister. Haha it didn't end up good. I got sent to the principal's office for cutting the girl's hair.
"Yeah I do.." I mumbled and smiled at her.
"Thanks though. Well, gotta go bye!" she said leaving me.
"Bye! Take Care" I said as she looked back at me and nodded.
I left the school and headed to uni. Excited to see Melanie.
I went to my first class but Melanie no where in sight. I wonder how is she feeling after the tummy ache. The first class started, and stil, Melanie sn't here yet. I better go and check on her later.
~~
The day didn't end well. it was boring as fuck without Melanie around. I ate lunch alone, I sat in the room alone, I'm alone. It was hard without Melanie around. And as a friend, it is my duty to go and check on her. Since my course is medicine. Yeah, I'm medicine and she's literature. But we do get to see each other in some classes and at the end of the day.
I left the uni and made my way to Melanie's place. I don't really know where she lives, but yesterday on the way there, I might as well memorized the the route. I hope my memory serves me right.
I asked most people who lives there and at last, arrived at her house.
I step on their doorstep, and began knocking slowly.
"Coming!" A voice that sounds like Ashton replied.
Ashton opened the door as a grin plastered on his face.
"Megan!" We hugged as he welcomed me inside.
"How is Melanie feeling? Any better?" I asked, worried.
"I..uhm...well dunno. I'm not at good at suff like this." He mumbles as we both chickle.
"Where are your parents?" I asked.
