That night I was barely able to sleep, maybe because that talk with Alejandro had opened up a Pandora's Box of memories that I would have preferred stayed closed. As I slept I thought about my ex Hakeem, probably the love of my life which goes to show just how sad my love life was. Hakeem came to me at a time when I was just starting to give up on love, Mike had cheated on me and so did my other ex Harlem, but I had seen something in Hakeem that was seemingly so sincere that I was instantly swept off my feet. I told him everything from my issues with my mom to my recent relationship failures, Hakeem was literally the shoulder I leaned on to cry; he would tell me I was his weakness and strength, he would tell me all the right things and promised never to hurt me........ when I was with Hakeem that was the happiest year of my life until he supposedly got drunk and had a threesome with my two best friends and even though he tried to apologize I was over being hurt and lied to. So I gave up on love and happily ever afters and focused all my anger into hurting other people..... I mean having as much fun as possible. After trying to sleep for hours I finally said fuck it and decided to go for a run, when I was done with my run I was finally able to get some sleep and if my plan was going to work I needed all the sleep I could get. The next morning I walked into the building on a mission, did I feel bad about possibly ruining Owen's relationship...... no, I just wondered how Tion would react to the news.

"Cardo...... ayy I've been waiting for you to get here look, I need for you to cover for me if Tion shows up again." Lafayette said before I could even walk into my office, I looked at him and started to wonder if maybe he was cheating on Tion.

"La, you're my nigga but if you're cheating on Tion I really don't want to be involved." I said looking into his eyes.

"I told you I'm not cheating on Tion..... I guess I owe you the truth, Jupiter is kinda blackmailing me he said if I don't help him he's going to out me and Tion. I really don't care if he outs me it's Tion I'm worried about, I didn't want to get him involved." Lafayette said seriously.

"Blackmailing you how? What does he want?" I asked.

"He hasn't told me yet right and where I've been disappearing to everyday is I've been trying to find something to hold over his head so I can get out of whatever he's planning." Lafayette said.

"Have you thought about telling Zyshaun? You seen how shook Zy had Jupiter at the party, if Zy finds out you know he'll be pissed." I suggested.

"Nah I don't want to have to rely on Zyshaun every time I got into trouble....... I'll handle this on my own." Lafayette said looking into my eyes.

"Handle what on your own?" Tion said walking into my office, Lafayette looked at me and I just shrugged this was a conversation that they needed to have without me..... but while he was here I might as well tell him about Owen.

"Ayy La you mind giving me a minute with Tion? I promise it'll be real quick." I said honestly. Lafayette nodded and walked out. "You know Owen Lewis right?" Judging by the look of anger on his face he definitely did.

"What about him?" Tion asked and I could see him fighting to control his anger, I gave him a quick recap of last night and by the time I finished explaining he looked like he was ready to explode. "Cardo..... I've never asked anything from you and I know I've been kinda shady towards you but I really need for you to keep what happened between y'all a secret...... at least for now aight?" Tion asked calmly, but the look in his eyes let me know he wasn't asking, I nodded my head and Tion walked out leaving me feeling confused as ever..... well that didn't go as planned. But I was going to honor his wishes for now.

The rest of the day I finished up some last minute stuff for my trip tomorrow and drove over to Devin's house warming party, ever since he's worked with Young Mon Devin has been getting paid to make beats for a lot of people and he was making more money than any twenty-one year could need the first thing he did was buy a house here in Houston so he could be closer to the studio and didn't have to drive back and forth between Austin and Houston every other day, well that was his excuse but I knew he got tired of staying over Khalil's and watching him and Marcus constantly groping over each other. I pulled up and really impressed the house was nice, I got out and walked inside to find everyone was already here. Usually when I walked into a room everyone would stop talking to give me dirty looks but honestly it was like they didn't even notice me.
