They Came From Nkozi

MASON'S POV

|February 16, Wednesday|

The bell rang and I met my buddy, Jake, by the gym and then we headed to the cafeteria.

I put my bag down at a table and started to walk off.

"Yo Mason, can we sit at this table instead?"

I saw Rosemary's bags. "Okay, sure." Then I got my stuff and put it at their table and went to go stand in the pizza line.

I saw Rosemary getting her food from the lunch lady. She was so sweet, so kind, so innocent. I saw her say thank you to the woman, she paid the cashier, and then she gracefully went to her table and sat down with Shelby.

'She'll never accept me for who I am,' I thought. 'She will be too afraid, she'll hate me.'

I paid for my food and I went with Jake to sit at the lunch table.

I like being with Rosemary, Jake, and Shelby. They make me so happy. They are genuine friends, not fake. When they compliment someone, they actually mean it. When they say they like you, they really do. They are not some fake, stuck up people who lie to your face. They are some of the best people that I have ever been friends with. I would not trade the world for them. I'm very grateful for them because when I first came here, I was friends with people who betrayed me and stabbed me in the back. They were so horrible to me. I'm just glad I have real friends now.

We mostly talk about stuff we see on the internet. I see some memes and some vines every now and then, and I laugh really hard, but sometimes, Earth jokes don't really make sense.

(This part is describing background information and it's kinda long, so bare with me.)

You see, I'm not familiar with the internet because I was born on Nkozi. Nkozi is a purple planet about 8803 trillion light years away from Earth. There are about 8 billion people in Nkozi. (there is more land than sea in my planet so it's able to hold more people on it.) A certain species on my planet, called, Djornicose (D-JORN-E-COSE), are able to shape shift. I am a Djornicose.

In my real form, I look like a snake and human mixed together. I actually look like a male mermaid but without the fish tail part. Instead, it's a snake tail. My top half is human with scales and my bottom half is a snake tail. My eyes are human but instead of red blood vessels in them, the veins are black. My teeth are pointed and I have a forked snake tongue. I'm considered attractive on Nkozi. Haha

I was sent here when I was about 12 Earth years old. I was sent here to find the one who could see beyond. I think Rosemary might be able to see beyond.

There is an ancient scroll written by some brilliant scientist over 4000 earth years ago that claims he saw a vision from what you guys call a god. [Everyone on Nkozi believes in a higher power, whether it be Jesus Christ, (yes we have the Bible too), or some half human, half animal deity, or aliens (in this case humans)].

Anyways, so the scientist wrote down what he saw and he believed that he was chosen from the higher power to start discovering different planets in the universe. No, we are not as advanced as you might think we are, but we are more advance than Earth is right now. We have ships that can travel off of light from distant stars and solar winds. So our ships can travel as long as there are stars and/or solar winds.
