MASON'S POV
Rosemary's mom came into the nurse's office and Ms. Tasha came out.
"Where is she?"
"She is laying down over there. I think that she needs to go home. Her head was bleeding when she was brought here so I wrapped it up and hopefully that will-."
"She was brought here?"
"Yes ma'am. Two students. Mason and Shelby. I assume they are your daughter's friends?"
The mom looked at Shelby and I sitting by Rosemary.
"Oh! I know them."
"I think Rosemary just needs to rest when she goes home. She hit her head pretty hard."
She said thanks to the Nurse and then came over and sat by us.
"Hello, Mrs. McDowell. It's good to see you," Shelby said as Ms. Tasha went out of the room.
I sat up a little bit straighter, "Same here."
"Thank you so much for bringing her here. You guys are really good friends, you know."
Rosemary shifted on the cot.
"Would you like us to help you walk her out to your car?" I said gesturing towards Rosemary.
"Uh, yes actually. That would be great."
Mrs. McDowell woke her daughter up by rubbing her arm and then she opened her beautiful blue eyes and looked around the room.
She sat up and looked at her mom.
"What happened?" She said touching her bandages.
Her mom held her hand. "The nurse said you slipped and hit your head on a water fountain."
"It hurts a lot and I'm tired. Do I have to stay at school today?"
"No, you can come home. You had a hard day. It going to be hard to walk for you so we're gonna help you to the car."
"Okay."
She put her legs on one side of the bed and tried to stand up, but she couldn't. So we helped her stand up. She was wobbly but her mom and I put her arms around our shoulders and we walked to the parking lot. Shelby held the car door open for her and helped her get in the car.
Shelby smiled. "I'll call you later tonight to see how you're doing and when you're feeling better, we can hang out."
"Okay. Thank you so much for helping me, guys. I'm really glad that we're friends." She hugged Shelby and I awkwardly because she was strapped to the car with her seatbelt. "I love you guys."
Shelby closed the door and we walked in front of the car where Mrs. McDowell was.
"It's good to know that there are still good kids out there. I can't thank you guys enough for helping my daughter."
"No problem." I said.
"If it's okay with your parents, would you like to come over for dinner tonight? I'm sure Rosemary would love it if you did."
I lit up. "Yeah, I can come."
"I'll ask my parents after school. I'm sure I can come." Shelby smiled.
"Great. Thanks again." Ms. McDowell got in the car with sleeping Rosemary and they drove off.
Shelby and I walked back to the school as the bell rang.
Jake spoke to us using his mind.
'I got Jasmine. She's tied up at Mark's house. Come here when school is over.'
