This Should Be Fun

chapter 4

    "Ashley. Ashley? Ashley!"
"What?" I respond to taylor looking away from the room and into his eyes.
"What do you mean their relationship isn't good?"
"Lex's boyfriend is...abusive. h-he hurts Lex and-" my voice cracks and a tear falls down my face. Taylor wraps his arms around me and he tells me that I don't have to explain anymore.

Taylor POV
     I hated seeing her cry. I jut met her and... it hurt me. I don't know how to talk to Shawn if he likes Alexis. He'll get mad or sad or something. I shouldn't be worrying about this right now, all I know is that I never want to let Ashley go.

Ashley POV
Taylor held me a little longer but eventually we went back into Alexis' room. We all were just talking and eventually the doctor said that she could leave the hospital. Shawn and Taylor could leave too and they invited us to their house.
"oh I don't know..." I said in response to Taylor, I didn't really feel like being around people at that moment.
"Ash, come on it'll be fun!" Lex told me, giving me her puppy face. I agreed to going and we all got in our cars and we started to follow Taylor and Shawn to their house.
"So ash, what was all the hugging outside of the room about?"
"Oh, that- it was nothing." I didn't know if I should tell her about Shawn possibly having a crush on her and I didn't want her to get mad at me for telling Taylor her little secret.
"Oh...well alright." We pulled up to their place and oh my god was it beautiful. The house was so big! We went right in and Shawn gave us the grand tour- occasionally sneaking glances at Lex while she smiled at things- while Taylor ordered pizza. Eventually the food gets here, but Lex was going down the stairs fast even though Shawn was in front of her and she tripped. But luckily he heard her scream and turned around to heroically and romantically catch her. It was basically right out of the movies, their faces close together and it felt like time just stopped or slowed down at least. I just looked at Taylor and he started making stupid faces that made me laugh, we totally ruined the moment and Shawn through him a mad little look while he was still holding Lex. We go down and start eating, and we're all talking and laughing and having a wonderful time. But then Taylor makes a joke about the abuse of Lex's boyfriend and I dropped my pizza onto my plate. Lex shot me this hateful look and Shawn looked at Lex like a sad lost puppy. I just lost it and ran to the bathroom with Taylor running after me. He kept saying my name, but I didn't listen and I just ran into the bathroom and slammed the door behind me while locking it. Taylor kept banging on the door and saying "I'm so sorry" over and over again, but I tuned out and stared at the wall with tears rolling down my face. I was so mad at him, but even I knew that it wasn't going to last very long.
