This Should Be Fun

Chapter 6

Ashley POV
The vase fell and almost him me, but luckily I moved. Taylor and Shawn came rushing out asking if we were okay to which me & Lex said we were. We hung out for a little while longer but eventually went home.

NEXT DAY
"Ash. Ash! ASH!!!"
"W-what?"
"Taylors been calling you non-stop- Shawn and him want us to comeover."
"Oh okay, let's go"

We drive to Taylors place and the moment we walk through the door Shawn starts awkwardly staring at Alexis. Not like a weird awkward, but an adorable shy awkward. It seems like Lex notices but she just blushes. I think she's starting to like Shawn. Shawn takes Lex out to look around outback since Taylor took me awhile ago, and me and Taylor start making casual conversation.

Lex POV
I stare into the pond Shawn and Taylor have outback. It's so pretty- it pulls me in like a trance. But then I get pulled out of it by Shawn pulling on my shoulder.
"Oh sorry. what were you saying?"
"Lex...I'm sorry for ho having such a bad boyfriend. you deserve to be treated like the queen that you really are."
"Shawn-"
I was cut off by a kiss. His soft lips touched mine- and I never wanted them to stop. Sadly I had to stop them when I was reminded of my boyfriend.
"Shawn you know I have a boyfriend."
"But he sucks- I could do treat you better. Just give me a chance Lex."
I get mad for some reason and I storm off. I walk inside and start talking to Taylor and Ashley and later Shawn walks in with a red face.

FEW DAYS LATER
Ashley POV
"Hello?"
"Hey Ashley."
"Hey Taylor, what's up?"
"There's a public dance thing going on this weekend and Shawn and I want you and Lex to come."
"Okay I'll ask her be right back."
"Okay back & she said yes."
"Okay see you then"
Later me and Lex realize that we don't have any thing good to wear to the dance, so of course we go shopping- A Lex specialty. We go to a few stores and Lex finds a short black strapless dress. Then later I find a medium lengthed purple dress. We go home. order pizza, and watch fetus one direction and 5 seconds of summer videos- using the pizza to help with our emotions.

WEEKEND
Taylor and Shawn meet me and Lex at the dance. It looks like so much fun with lights everywhere, good music playing, fun people, and great food. For some reason only Taylor shows up-in a tuxedo looking so handsome. He pulls me aside and tells me what's going on- of course I don't tell Lex and try my hardest not to give it away with my facial expressions.

Lex POV
Shawn still hasn't shown up, and I think it's all my fault. I stormed out on him, I don't even know why I came to this dance. I'm about to go tell Lex to take me home when I hear my name being called from the stage. I was so far back that I couldn't see who it was, but then a spotlight hit me and everyone made a path for me, like I was a princess. I walked closer to the stage and Shawn was there. His beautiful brown eyes were twinkling and his smile was so big when he saw me.
"Lex, when I first met you- I immediately knew you were special. You're so beautiful, funny, amazing, and so much more. So to show you how I feel about you I wrote you this song."
Shawn starts strumming his guitar and tells everyone that the name of the song is Never Be Alone. His voice is so angelic and he puts so much emotion and energy in it. Half way through he comes off the stage up to me and starts singing to me, and I'm totally speechless. He twirls me and winks at me and I never want him to stop. For the last few words he pulls me in so close to him that I can smell his cologne, and he softly kisses me. I practically faint. It was so perfect. But then there was a yell that was familiar to me and he abruptly stopped- even when it felt like he didn't want too. I turn around and look at Ashley and I see fear in her eyes with Taylors arms around her- and there's only one person that makes her look like that.
My boyfriend.

chapter 6!!! hope y'all like it - and yes the whole singing to Lex part was from the movie Starstruck😏.  I really like writing this so I'll be updating soon- plus my friends making me😂
