The Taef agreement was the agreement that ended the Lebanese civil war between the Muslims and the Christians. The Taef agreement was created since Rafik Hariri wanted civil peace. It was agreed back then that all the militias should give in their weaponry sources so the Lebanese army could be the only force in Lebanon that should be armed in Lebanon. The Taef also said that every Lebanese should have equal rights and nobody should be an extremists. This was the Taef agreement done by Rafik Hariri to stop the war and for the reasons above .
