sexbang: "BARRY OPEN UP THE DOOR, YOU BEAUTIFUL ANIMAL!"

barryedits: "Dan, it's 4 in the morning."

sexbang: "I know! Can you believe the ice cream store was open? I bought 6 cartons of ice cream that are melting so can you open the door."

barryedits: "it's the first time we are seeing each other and I look like crap."

barryedits: "oh I see you."

end of call

-

Dan watches from inside his car with ice cream cartons on his lap as the other man known as Barry approaches the car.

Barry has blue plaid pajamas bottoms and a Legend of Zelda shirt and he taps on the window of the car. Dan is sitting, with a wide grin and he looks at the grumpy man stand there.

He opens the door and Barry takes a step back. Dan gets out of the car and Barry can't help but notice how tall he is. Barry grabs two of the six cartons of ice cream and Dan follows him to his house.

Barry puts the ice cream away and gives Dan a quick tour of the house, ending at the living room.

"Wanna play some games?" Dan asks, his face still lit up with a smile and his crazy hair all around it. Dan is wearing a game shirt that Barry can't recognize with black pajama pants.

"Alright." Barry takes a seat on the couch as Dan picks out the game Mario Kart.

"I'm going to beat your ass at this game." Dan proclaims as he takes a control and sits down next to Barry.

"No you aren't. I'm fucking great at video games." Barry says, tiredness still evident in his voice.

After 5 games and 5 wins for Barry, Barry can conclude that Dan is pretty bad at games - at least Mario Kart.

"Do you... want to play a different game? You are doing pretty badly."

Dan shakes his head and keeps his eyes locked on the screen. "No. I want to beat your great-video-game-playing ass before we do anything else."

It was only 2 races before Dan beat Barry, Barry had managed to be in first place for most of the game but got hit by a blue shell at the very end.

"You bitch!" Barry exclaims to Yoshi for hitting him with that thing from hell. He watches in helplessness as he sees Dan cross the finish line, eventually himself finishing at a disturbing 10th place.

"Let's play some Smash Brothers!" Barry says, grabbing the game from his shelf and bouncing up and down slightly.

"No." Dan groans, dropping his remote and laying himself down on the couch. "Want to sleep?"

"It's only-" Barry checks the clock. "6 o'clock. Your the one that came to my house this early."

"I know." Dan yawns and closes his eyes, throwing his arms in various angles and one leg over the side. Dan is already lightly snoring by the time Barry turns off the game console.

Barry goes to his room and returns several moments later with a blanket for Dan. He places it on him then goes back to his bed and tucks himself in.

He closes his eyes and tries to sleep, but can't, he is plagued by memories of his friend Ross. Barry still can't believe that he is really dead. Can he trust Dan? He doesn't know,  but he has a gut feeling that Dan is telling the truth but doesn't want to accept it.

Ross didn't deserve to die. Why would someone kill someone innocent?

unless he wasn't

The thought puzzles Barry. Of course he was innocent, why wouldn't he be? He was just visiting family. But why else would someone kill him? Sure, he was a jerk sometimes, but murder?

Barry doesn't know what to believe. He doesn't know what he wants to believe.

Barry opens his eyes as his phone dings - alerting a text. He reaches over and grabs it. He sees that Suzy texted him.

hey honey!! good morning! want to hang out today?

Barry thinks for a moment and then decides that he will respond later, he wasn't mentally prepared to make a proper conversation with his girlfriend right now.

Barry sets his phone down, and stares at his ceiling, lost in thought.
