Trill engineers were a commodity in star fleet, so it was by no chance that Chief Engineering Officer Aisha Kabu was on the Utopia, for she was one of the most brilliant engineers in all of Star Fleet. In all of Kabu's eight lives she had been an engineer three times. Kabu's host this life was a red headed-green eyed-female trill named Aisha Coul. Aisha was Kabu's ninth host and so far their union had been pretty uneventful. Aisha was in her mid-20s and loved to read. She had a terrible habit of buying real books made from the wood of trees and would sit and splurge for hours on her newfound worlds of mystery and intrigue.
Aisha hurried to the turbo lift and told it to take her to level 3. Suddenly, the whole ship rocked with a blast so great that it rattled Kabu's teeth. Lights blared red all around her as red alert was engaged.
