"Let's go out" Lily shouted. Lily's been my friend since we were two, she's been in my life since forever and she's seen me at my worst and my best, through my mum leaving and my dad getting diagnosed with cancer.
"No"
"Why?"
"Shh" I'm on the top floor landing, Mum, Dad and aunt Vi are all on the ground floor in Dad's bedroom and I can barely hear them. I walk back into my room, Lily's lying on my bed. "We can't go out besides I haven't got anything to wear"
"You don't need to wear your clothes you can get something from Effy" Lily explained happily and knowing Lily I knew she wasn't going to take no for an answer. I smile. Lily scream in joy and without telling my dad we sneak out.
There are two main reasons why I never told my dad I was going out 1) he never told me about Mum, I know it sounds childish doing something because someone else did but I was mad at my dad he should have told me and 2) he said i should act my age and have fun and I was pretty sure this is what most fifteen year old girls do.

Effy is two years older than us and is in college now. I really don't know why she became our friend but when she was at Churston Ferrers she didn't even know we existed. Effy gets into anywhere through her looks, she's gorgeous, prefect curves, full lips and long wavy brunette hair, not to mention she's super smart, your parents fall in love with her as soon as they meet her.
Lily was walking beside me in her tights and sweater her trainers have some how come off from our journey from my house. I'm in shorts and a simple hoodie (I was going to get something off Effy hence the dressing down.) I don't know if we were walking painfully slow or we were going the wrong way but it was taking forever to get to her house.
Finally we got there and she was outside, was she waiting for us, that would be weird, no something's up, "hey babe, why are you outside?"
"I don't know, nice breeze, I heard about your mum" Effy was queen at avoiding her problems and changing the subject.
I wasn't up for talking either so i gave her the sucks-but-life-goes-on-right smile. " we need a good night out tonight but we need to get you some clothes" Effy says regarding me.
Too tight, too small, too big, too...REVEALING! It took us about an hour to find something Effy could agree on wearing, I don't even know why she bought the clothes if she hated them. Eventually she decided to wear a pair of leggings, a Ramones crop top and some black platforms. I wore Effy's LBD but seriously it wasn't much the arms were full length net and to be honest it wasn't even that short. I wore my black converses, I mean I didn't want to come across as a total slut.

We were going to Sam's house party, we had three problems with that 1) I didn't get a house warming present 2) I've never actually been to a house party (apart from the garden party my dad's colleague threw last summer) and 3) I didn't even know who Sam was and I was pretty sure Effy and Lily didn't either. It was 10PM by the time we got there, it wasn't what I was expected it was kind of quiet, there was a couple of people in the living room dancing to National Anthem. Effy went upstairs leaving me and Lily on our own. We walked around a bit got ourselves a drink (fruit punch mixed with cheap vodka) the house was nice, vintage I'm sure most of these paintings would be too expensive for even me and Lily to but with the help of our parents.
We walked outside, Sam's backyard looked out to the beach, there were drunken older men sitting down on the beach whaling about their stupid miserable lives drinking beer. I felt out of place. Although it was quiet I knew it had been too long since I've been out partying...even to a birthday party. I couldn't find Lily she must have found someone she knew or a boy she could screw, she lost her virginity last year to some douche Kyle. I went down to the beach, I was happy I wore my converses or else I'd struggle getting down the steep stairs.
The beach is great, the sea was calm and the breezy air was welcoming on my skin. "Its nice" a cool, deep hoarse voice spoke behind me.
"Yeah" I didn't know if I should look back, I never.
"May I join you?"
"Sure, why not?" I could hear his grin as he came down to sit next to me, I peeked up to see his face, it was kind of hard to see him in the dark but I could see the perfect jawline and the roughed up hair. He was hot and at that moment I was so grateful for Effy's hair and make-up tutorial. I haven't spoken to attractive boys in so long, I mean there was Danny who comes to see Dad every week, he was cute but he was my dad's best mates son so that would be minging for me. I don't know how long we sat on the beach, but we didn't talk we just sat and watched the sea and stupid, reckless teenagers jump off the cliff crashing firm into the sea.
"How comes I've never seen you round here?" I knew literally everyone in Torquay, we were a small place.
"Just moved"
"Oh..." I couldn't hide the curiosity in my voice.
"My parents split and Mum felt we needed to get out of the city...London" he didn't look at me once even though i was staring at him. We didn't talk for the rest of the time.
It was starting to get late and I felt super tired, I got up and brushed the sand off my bum. "You off?" he said with such disappointment you'd think he wanted me to hear it.
"Yes, night" I turned around and started walking.
"Ivan" he shouted out behind me.
"Freya" I shouted back, not looking straight at him.
"Night Frey" i heard Ivan say just loud enough for only me to hear.

Lily and Effy were at Effy's already, they came home an hour earlier than me thinking I bailed on them, I didn't feel like going back to mine but I didn't want my dad to worry so I called and told him where I was. "Well tonight was a total waste" Effy said lying on her bed.
"Really? I thought it was quite...interesting" Lily smirked, we all knew what she got up to and we did not want to know the gory details.
"Where the hell did you get to Frey?" Effy asked. I really didn't want to tell them about Ivan and get abused for information like name, age, where is he form? is he hot? is he nice? etc...so I lied.
"I was down at the beach on my own"
"Oh you know we could get smashed in here, we have booze" Lily waved the three bottles of vodka and whisky and Effy took out the coke and beer from her mini refrigerator.
