They say that your last breath is your most important breath but also your most remembered one. It's the point in your life where all your efforts, all your triumphs, the ones you loved, everything you have experienced is going to be lost and your lifeless, cold body becomes nothing. The beeps of my life support is all I can hear and when I look around, tears of sadness, misery and sorrow falls from the eyes of the ones that I loved most. There is no more strength in me to fight this unwinable war against the murderer that is death, all this suffering and pain must come to an end now as I have absolutely nothing left in me to fight.
I close my eyes and slowly surrender as I can feel the coldness and bitterness of death taking over my helpless body. Slowly memories appear from times such as my first day at school to graduation reliving the memories that made myself the person that I am today. I'm reflecting back on all my iridescent, joyous memories of my childhood and this memory meant the most and could never be forgotten. That memory was making my first friend where you decide to be courageous and take a leap of faith into the unknown of talking to a stranger to befriend them in order to gain happiness.
Everyone remembers their first friend as they are the person who had the biggest impact on your life. They can either help nurture your growth and make you become an amazing human being or encourage bad deeds and drive you into criminal habits. You may become distant from them or you can still remain to be close and grow up with them. Well I had the amazing life of growing up with my best friend by my side even when she went away but distance is the true test of friendship. I always thought a good piece of advice was never let anything get between you two as there is only 1 of that amazing human being and you may not get someone like that ever again in your life as they only come once and they may not accept your 2nd chance. So cherish the ones that means most to you.
