This is my second completed novel and my first one on Wattpad. As someone who has just began writing here, I'm honored to receive almost 3.5 thousand reads on Half of Ruby and nearly one-thousand votes. Thanks so much!
*cue sentimental stuff*
I began my Wattpad journey on a different account, one I intended to publish fanfiction on. However, all those zeroes on my screen--zero followers, zero views, zero votes--were more than a little depressing and discouraging, and eventually I just deleted that account and returned to the small safe haven of another fanfiction website I'd gained popularity on.
But eventually I found the inspiration, largely through Marissa Meyer's The Lunar Chronicles, to write a novel based on a fairy tale. That idea evolved into Half of Ruby, and a manuscript more than 133,000 words long written in four months. I'll definitely be rewriting Half of Ruby for publication, and it'll undergo a ton of major changes.
That being said, Half of Ruby's sequel, Half of Ember, will come out in the fall or winter of 2016, and Half of Constance, the third book in the trilogy, the fall/winter after that. Meanwhile, keep your eyes peeled for Asian Eyes, a teen fiction novel I plan on releasing this summer, as well as my sci-fi novel Pointe Shoes and Pizza Droids (the title is subject to change), which will also come out this summer.
