I make my way to the café across my apartment to get some breakfast. I like to keep things pretty simple even though I have quiet a bit of money.
After ordering and eating, I head off to the bus to start my day.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Liza is doing my hair and makeup at the shoot, and so far I wouldn't say it's my style but I just have to go with it.
The photographer, Jeremy Scott, walks up to me with some scary as fuck eye contact.
"Are you ready?" he asks.
"Hell yeah. I've got this in the bag."
"Good to hear. So here's the theme."
I nod my head intensely, getting into my character.
Jeremy says, "You're Alice, and you've found this perfume in Wonderland and have the urge to try just one sprits of it. I want you to do this with the most elegance and grace, I know this won't be hard for you."
I nod once more and make my way to the scene in my ultra dramatic costume and fierce eyes.
Getting up from the makeup table, I take a deep breath. Shoots have always given me a rush, especially when I first started. I have to take slow breaths before each one or else I'll get way too excited and jittery on set, and we can't have that messing up my performance.
After the shoot is over I walk to the bus stop to get changed to fly to Paris. I have a tight schedule and need to head to the next fashion week shows.
When I get home I get extremely nervous. I always feel uncomfortable going to these types of things. Even though it's mandatory for me to go to keep up my publicity I'm not the go-to-stand-around-and-look-cute type of girl. Sure I like to party, but having a whole bunch of people just staring at you while you show off your dress made by some high fashion designer is not my ideal.
For the plane ride I just slip on some sweat pants that I've had forever and a black T.
I call an uber, and when it arrives I hop in and head for the airport. In the car I get a text from Joan.
Joan: Guess who's gonna be at the Dolce show with you tonight?!
Me: lol, who?
Joan: LOGAN!
I look up from my phone mortified.
Oh God no. Dammit! I should have known this would happen. We rehearse for weeks and being the guy I know he gets last minute entry. UGH!
Typical.
Me: hml
Joan: Hanging in there little one
Me: what if I don't want to hang on?
Joan: Then I'll be right there to catch you
-----------------------------------------------------------
When I get to the airport I meet up with Joan in the baggage checking line.
"Hey there," I say.
We hug. I haven't seen her in a while with my busy life and all, so it's good to see her face to face.
"Hey!" she exclaims.
