The books is one of those 'love conquer all books.' It's about a boy call Sam Gilburne who lives in England who's one of Shakespeare's Apprentice, he doesn't really have any recognition at first. He didn't really have any important parts in the plays he acted in. He finds out about a competitor acting company moving or some thing ( I think, has been a while seen I read it) So his company decides to take in and rename it the Globe. He later soon gets more important parts as he grows as an actor. He also meet a girl of higher standard called Lady Lucie Cheetham. It's love at first sight for both of them, they start sending letters secretly because they're not allowed to talk to each other but has support by a few friends later on. As they grow closer Lucie's relative does something terrible involving the queen endangering him and his family. Later on they get to be together.

I for one was like the only one in the class who liked the book for some reason, I liked it because they got together and had a happy ending. As well as Sam's sister being smart and helping him when he went home for a visit.

I recommend anyone whose a fan of romance to read this.
