Hello, I wrote this story for a class and I want my rights (: Right now, it is ver short. But I'm going to extend it quite a bit. So enjoy and if you ever like it follow the other one with more detail. (: Thank you!

I hesitantly walked into the royal throne room. I avoided the impending doom of looking at the king and queen, my parents. I walked around the room, and stared intently at the gold plated walls, sliding in my fuzzy pink slippers on the smooth, black, granite floor.

"Aly, please stop wandering, it's very important that we talk now."

"Yeah, you never ask for my presence any other time," I mumbled under my breath. "Yes, my dear father, the king," I sarcastically said with a dramatic bow.

"Alynnisa, stop. You know your mother and I have been extremely busy lately. Actually, that's why we've called you here. Do you remember when you were a young and one we told you the bedtime stories of Crotar? Well, the stories are real. They weren't just creative figments of our imagination, but the prophecy... that you are supposed to fulfill." I looked at my lunatic father and then loudly burst out into up surd laughter. The next thing I know, I saw my father give me a disapproving look. " What? I'm supposed to be the evil, mythical, almighty Crotar? Yeah right, I just a princess whose totally going to win Borthewood Upper School's Formal Queen."

"No, you are not Crotar, you are his slayer. There are way more important things than being a foolish school 'queen'. Especially when you have the thrown guaranteed. You seem not to understand what sick powers Crotar possess. He is slowly, yet steadily draining our people of their powers starting with our elderly. In a few years, our entire planet will be without power and he and his minions could conquer our planet. Alynnisa, I know this is a lot to take in, but its for every ones best interest if you find Crotar and vanquish him."

There was so many thoughts running through my head, yet all I could think about was being Formal Queen. And if I left, I would not be Formal Queen and I would have just died. But, if I said no, I knew that worse would be in store. "Let's just say... I go defeat Crotar, where is he?"

"That's the thing, Aly." My father said sadly, "no one knows where he is. He can take various shapes and travel many places. He is known to control things of nature and put dark magic on them. There are stories of him causing horrible weather upon weak creatures; killing hundreds of thousands of them. And if you do not defeat him,I'd be sorry to say that you will never be queen of Borthewood!"

"Wait, so your telling me, that I, a petite princess whose never fought in her life, am supposed to be the slayer of Crotar? No, like I said I am a princess. I do not fight or kill. I refuse and you cannot make me!" I screamed at my father. He will not tell me to go practically kill myself, if Crotar had all that power, I knew I cannot defeat him. I ran and I continued to run as I left the palace on top of a plateau. I ran into the business area until I arrived, at my best friend, Zerta's house. I hurriedly knocked on the door desiring comfort from my best friend. The door slowly opens, but all that was there was a dark space that I remembered as I foyer.

“Hello...? Zerta? Are you here?” I sobbed as I felt around the walls in the pitch blackness. I felt the walls down the corridor; I searched for a source of light. As I continued to search , I was felt more helpless as I went along. Finally, I felt a box sticking out of the wall. Relieved I found a light switch, I try to activate it but nothing happened. With so much sadness in my heart, I fell to my knees, giving up on life.

“Hello Aly.” Ringed the familiar voice of Zerta.

Relieved, I said, “Thank goodness! Zerta, where have you been? I so need a friend right now. You won’t believe what my father just did! He threathen my crown! And... Zerta, where are you?”
