His expression darkened, “What?”
Was he really this clueless? Did he not know what this would cause? Did he not know how I had felt all this time? After years he can just act all innocent?
“Lisbon, I promised you I would do this!”
“Jane!” I half-yell-half-whisper, “Don’t you know how much you mean to me? I love you!”
