Disclaimer: If I owned The Mentalist, Jisbon would have happened before Jane or Lisbon was even born. BABY JISBON!!!!! So no. I don't. :) Enjoy, everyone!

I wake up to an empty bed. Darn. I smack the pillow next to me, and, swinging myself into a vertical position, grab aforementioned pillow and hug it. I then kiss its head passionately as I run my hands through its soft, silky hair...
Once I've realized that my pillow is not, in fact, Grace, I growl internally and, feeling pointless, flop backwards onto my pillow and promptly fall asleep.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
My alarm clock blares at me as loud as it possibly can... It never fails to amaze me, the overwhelming amount of sound that this little contraption can produce, to the point where I can't even think. I encourage myself to get out of bed with thoughts of Grace and of an unhealthy amount of steaming coffee... my nights with Grace are amazing, but it does wear a guy out to never get a good nights' rest. Oh well. It's all worth it, for her.
I get ready, make Ben some cereal, and drop him off at daycare on the way to work. I'm about to get in the elevator to head upstairs to headquarters, when Grace steps OUT of the elevator I'm about to get in. She is gorgeous, as always, grinning from ear to ear as she starts to walk past me.
"Hey Grace. What's up?" I ask.
She spins around to face me, still smiling. "Oh hi! Wanna get a coffee?"
Is she not aware that we have to be at our desk in 3 or Boss's gonna kill us? Like, literally kill us! "We have to be up there-"
"Oh I know! But, don't you think a coffee sounds really good right now?"
"Uh..."
"Come on, please, Wayne?"
Damn, she's adorable. "I guess so..."
"Thank you!" she squeals as she nearly topples me over with an excited hug. Well, now being late to work is worth it.
"Hey guys. Get a room," says a voice behind me with an astonishing lack of emotion. Huh. Must be Cho. Grace pulls away from me suddenly, seeming embarrassed. I turn around too, but irked. I wasn't ready for that hug to end, and now I want her back in my arms.
"Hi!" Grace says cheerfully, to which Cho crosses his arms and replies, "Hey. Planning on skipping work, I see."
"Oh, yeah, well... wanna get a coffee with Wayne and me?" Grace practically begs.
"I wasn't planning on having Boss shoot me today, so no. I take it that was your plan?"
I glance at Grace's worried face and decide to step in, even though I have no idea what this is all about. "Come on, man. Please? I'll pay, whatever you want." Grace's face has transformed from a picture of fear to that of total admiration- totally worth it. I stick my bottom lip out in a mock pout. "Pleeease?"
Grace looks at Cho. "Boss won't mind- I promise." Cho and I simultaneously raise our eyebrows at her. I can't take it any longer. "How come?"
"Oh. Well... Because she's not here yet!"
Cho looks at her. "I saw Boss's car."
"Well, she left for a coffee! And she... walked there."
"Hm," Cho comments. "I doubt that, but it's probably some girl thing that you're not going to tell us. So yeah, I'll go get some coffee." He checks his watch. "But only for 20 minutes."
"Thank you! Yay!" she squeals. "let's go!"
And off we go, to the land of coffee beans.

~3 days later~
Grace, Cho, and I just happened to meet up outside the elevator downstairs. (okay, so maybe Grace and I weren't such a coincidence) Anyway, ready for another day of putting away bad guys, we head upstairs to the office. And when we step out of the elevator, we see something that none of us ever thought we'd live to see. In Boss's office, there are two people... and these particular two people appear to be eating each other's faces off. The girl has the guy shoved up against a wall, and as we watch, the pair quickly moves their make out session to the couch. And its at about this moment when we see the girl run her hands through the guys' blonde hair, and it occurs to us that those blonde curls seem oddly familiar...
