There are twelve of us. Six males, and six females. We don't know who created us. We've never met each other, but we've heard. There are twelve of us in this world. All with a different secret and ability. Our brains have something different about them compared to other, normal people. Our brains and bodies can handle more stress and strain compared to the others of the human race.

Everyone is told to fear us, even if they don't know who we are. They call us Hybrids. We must never let them know that we are one of them. If they find out, they'll kill us, or worse, torture us for information about 'Hybrids'

We try to live a normal life, but high school is hard when you are different, really different from the others. You are always in fear that someone might find out about you. After a while you learn to cope with it, it's hard at first, but you learn. There will always be that fear of being caught, but there becomes a point in your life where fear becomes the most natural thing to you. Fear is just another factor of life, therefore, we all must cope with our own certain type of fear.

Being a Hybrid does come with a perk, I mean, you're basically superhuman. You have certain abilities that make everyday life easier. Whether it's academically, or physically. Good grades, because all of that information was already planted into your brain at a very early age. You're just naturally good at everything, or so it seems. You still have to work at some things, but that's a given for anything. You work to achieve. That's just how life goes.

The world here is different, not other than the fact that there are twelve superhuman people living here, the government, the way society is, it's all different. Ever since the war, things have been off. People in general changed. If someone where to have told you that this was what the world was going to be like in fifty years, you would have laughed. No one saw this coming.

They were hoping, hoping that these twelve would be able to hold the secrets, and change the world back into what it was. Change it from this stereotypical nuclear waste land, back into the once beautiful world it was.

Some can only hope.
